Hey, man, there is already an indicator for mt4 that calculates risk according to the ATR of the previously closed candle. Think it's on, like, page 5 of the indicators on mlq4? Somewhere below page 8. It just sits on the bottom of your chart and changes when a candle closes. You can set risk % of your equity or overall account balance. Good stuff! Check it out.

BUT you have to be totally committed to put in many hours, days and months to get there. Backtesting experience is critical.

Welcome back VP! Your method of approaching spot forex has changed my trading career. Thank you 🙏 I just wanted to offer my insight on how banks manipulate the stock market. As both a spot forex trader and a large cap. stocks trader I think that there also bank manipulation of high volume, high market capitalization stocks and that in some ways it is very similar to forex. I’ve just noticed that very often the majority is wrong when it comes to trading these liquid stocks, and that there are very similar price reversals that imitate the bank manipulation of currency pairs (More easily seen in the short term). Just something I’ve noticed and wanted to share 💯

Alright so I was going through your videos and podcasts and I have invested many hours into them. I have gone through episodes 3-13 of the podcast + blog posts and I'm now going through Core Concepts 2-6 + taking many notes. 24:33 I thought about about the same thing five years ago, but I was not able to full rationalize which one is the cause, price movement or traders' sentiment? I believed that price movement causes the opposite sentiment. Let me explain. In the majority of time, there are way more limit orders than stop-orders; therefore, if the price is going up, then the traders' sell-limit orders are going to be hit and more and more of them going short -- you can not just claim that the price is moving up because people are going short.
And my theory can also explain why your rule doesn't work on the less traded pairs. It is simple. FXCM or IG only collect data from their own clients which make 1% of all traders. We know from statistics that even if we only take 1% sample from the population, we can still glimpse into the whole picture provided that we got a large enough sample size (in absolute value). But for lesser pairs, the sample size in FXCM is limited, so we don't infer the whole picture correctly.

Absolutely love that it’s me vs the banks. Coming from penny stock land where you can go from a complete high on a pump then be reduced to a buy beggar on Stocktwits within 30 seconds. Just is not why I got into trading. I want to nerd out on the nuance of every trade while making my own win or loss decisions not be an ad man after my analysis fails me 😄. Just seems so much easier to let go and move on.
Yeahp. The market respects none like an animal never respects human laws. They'll pee when they wanted too and there's nothing we can do about it. That's why thanks to this channel, I become a profitable trader even if I'm not or keep losing, what's matter most is I know how to do it and know why I lose the trade. I've been watching/listening to VP's videos for a few days now. I was hoping some traders out there could enlighten me. I'm saving my 1 and only question after I finish all the videos and research on his website before I waste it! I'm new to trading. About 3 months now. Originally trading in the "popular" crowd which I'm learning is harder to catch the trades before they are already gone. So I stumbled here. And I'm thankful. You traders that became pro traders or trade very well for yourselves, why go to trade for a company if you can, I assume, make enough money to live off of hopefully wealthy? Also, how long did it take some of you to find the right algorithm? Honestly my biggest fear right now is not being able to find the right algorithm for lack of understanding the indicators properly. Thanks VP for putting these videos out. I hope so much I will be a well established and well educated trader soon... I'm giving myself a 3 to 5 year buffer to learn and become profitable and no longer work for anyone.
Yeow, it's been quite a while since I started to follow this channel as my bible. After covering the core concepts, I thought the best way to build that perfect algorithm is by backtesting every possible combinations of indicators and systems for as much longer period as possible. But it seemed like a LOOOT of work and that's why I decided to learn coding. After 2 months, now I'm finally able to write a fully functionable EA to test any combination of indicators for any period of time I want. It makes the process of analyzation lot, LOT easier, faster, and effective. Now I'm about to watch every video from the beginning, take notes, put all of them together in a single system and test. Hopefully it won't take me so long to find a really decent system, and hopefully I will be trading a real money sooner. Really hoping to joining the testimonials as one of your proud students :)

Not even a brokerage demo, lol-Literally taking winning trades & winning but not actually knowing wtf I was doing🤣. Then I read 2 books....& found you💕. This was perfect timing for me, as I have the opportunity to unload & unlearn what I thought I knew to allow myself a clean slate. No paid programs or blown accounts here😩! Thankful to have come across this channel. I’m in the process of finishing up my excel spreadsheet for backtesting, I’m going to throw myself into getting my strategy & algorithm together & then hopefully in a few months I can go live! Thank you for being the stand alone in this industry....plus your comments section is nothing but confirmation that this channel is where EVERYBODY needs to be!💯🙌🏾 Oh. 24:33 I thought about about the same thing five years ago, but I was not able to full rationalize which one is the cause, price movement or traders' sentiment? I believed that price movement causes the opposite sentiment. Let me explain. In the majority of time, there are way more limit orders than stop-orders; therefore, if the price is going up, then the traders' sell-limit orders are going to be hit and more and more of them going short -- you can not just claim that the price is moving up because people are going short.
And my theory can also explain why your rule doesn't work on the less traded pairs. It is simple. FXCM or IG only collect data from their own clients which make 1% of all traders. We know from statistics that even if we only take 1% sample from the population, we can still glimpse into the whole picture provided that we got a large enough sample size (in absolute value). But for lesser pairs, the sample size in FXCM is limited, so we don't infer the whole picture correctly.

Absolutely love that it’s me vs the banks. Coming from penny stock land where you can go from a complete high on a pump then be reduced to a buy beggar on Stocktwits within 30 seconds. Just is not why I got into trading. I want to nerd out on the nuance of every trade while making my own win or loss decisions not be an ad man after my analysis fails me 😄. Just seems so much easier to let go and move on.

I've been watching/listening to VP's videos for a few days now. I was hoping some traders out there could enlighten me. I'm saving my 1 and only question after I finish all the videos and research on his website before I waste it! I'm new to trading. About 3 months now. Originally trading in the "popular" crowd which I'm learning is harder to catch the trades before they are already gone. So I stumbled here. And I'm thankful. You traders that became pro traders or trade very well for yourselves, why go to trade for a company if you can, I assume, make enough money to live off of hopefully wealthy? Also, how long did it take some of you to find the right algorithm? Honestly my biggest fear right now is not being able to find the right algorithm for lack of understanding the indicators properly. Thanks VP for putting these videos out. I hope so much I will be a well established and well educated trader soon... I'm giving myself a 3 to 5 year buffer to learn and become profitable and no longer work for anyone.

Yeow, it's been quite a while since I started to follow this channel as my bible. After covering the core concepts, I thought the best way to build that perfect algorithm is by backtesting every possible combinations of indicators and systems for as much longer period as possible. But it seemed like a LOOOT of work and that's why I decided to learn coding. After 2 months, now I'm finally able to write a fully functionable EA to test any combination of indicators for any period of time I want. It makes the process of analyzation lot, LOT easier, faster, and effective. Now I'm about to watch every video from the beginning, take notes, put all of them together in a single system and test. Hopefully it won't take me so long to find a really decent system, and hopefully I will be trading a real money sooner. Really hoping to joining the testimonials as one of your proud students :)
