El Rocky Raccoon Dedede's chain grabs only work on heavy characters, which makes him a counterpick for those characters. Even though he has chain grabs, he doesn't typically rely on them to win, unlike Ice Climbers. I'd also rather see a Dedede chain grabbing a Snake than an Olimar or Meta Knight beating a Snake.
TheDisarminghinkle Yea down smash is by far his best smash attack ans I use it alot when i actually play, however these are just highlights and there weren't many good or funny moments which involved the dsmash 360 noscope spin.

Also I like approaching with a reverse aerial rush back air. Basically just turn around and short hop back air really fast which keeps your forwards momentum. This means back air cancels on landing and you can follow up with a grab, ftilt, jab or whatever if your back air missed. People don't expect the follow up right after the back air.

GaruruTheWolf You can use your Gordos against projectile spammers as long as you get the Gordo to fall on top of them. Just throw them while you're in the air so they have more height and vary which Gordo you're using.
GaruruTheWolf Nairs are also good if you're getting juggled (this is true of many characters). Nairs will often trade hits breaking the combo. And because DDD is so fa...er... jolly, trades are always good for you.

I would say that he got better in Smash 4. Improved power with the Jet hammer and his side B always throws out Gordos now. Plus, adding super armor to his up B helps too.

Why didn't you try the move where you fly up in the air just about off the ledge turn towards them when they're at the edge while you're in the air and as you're falling give them the good succ and pull them down with you?
