@@lapanthanim I don't know the timestamp but it's while they're exploring the library after meeting the owl but before they discover the fire nation stuff.
I think it's fair to assume that the anthropology guy will become a spirit considering his strong dedication and place of death. So he can spend the rest of eternity there.
Though not definitively, I think this was answered in The Legend of Korra. Without getting spoilery, I can say there's a clue to what happened with the scholar specifically, and there's also a general explanation of how humans can interact with the spirit world as well. To be more specific though...*SPOILERS* : : : ...it looks like he sadly died there without knowing that he could have astral projected into the spirit world and stayed there like a certain other person does. 💀
@@lapanthanim I don't know which scene you're referring to but i personally don't have much issue with seeing Korra as a seperate canon. I like plenty of things about that show but it doesn't feel like the same show to me and it's mechanization of the spirits is one of those things. I think it's more in the 'spirit' of atla to imagine him becoming part of the spirit library in some way. :)
@@indybruining Series creators decide these things, not us. You can headcanon an AU where ATLA's various gaps/plot holes that TLOK happens to resolve remain unfilled if you want, but when speaking with others you should remember TLOK is just as canon. *SPOILERS* The scene I'm referring to is when the great library is found in the spirit world and obvious remains of the archaeologist are there, curled around a book. Beyond that, it's a fairly straightforward difference between astral projecting into the spirit world and walking into it with your physical body.
They got around it with: 1. Toph's blind herself and she's the one making the jokes (mostly) and 2. she's far from being helpless due to her blindness, in fact being pretty much the strongest member of the team barring Aang
"ten thousand things" basically refers to all of existence in Taoism, so that's why Wan Shi Tong calls himself all knowing when he introduces himself as Wan Shi Tong and says "he who knows ten thousand things" afterward he's actually just translating his name because that's what it means lol
I always wondered how that guy faired after this episode, was it a life filled with regret or a happy one, was it a long life or a short one, did he befriend the Owl or were they at each other's throats the whole time.
@@cruz5531 but what does that mean? Was he trapped, did he ever explore the spirit world, did traveling there kill him right there on the spot, all we saw were his bones not his life story, unlike Mr. Moonslayer who wasn't bones... for some reason.
Me moon slayer wasn’t bones because the library wasn’t in the spirit world when he left This guy got trapped in the spirit world, and from the looks of the library there wasn’t any food or water. So he had his supplies and probably just died there
I've always wondered if the spirits talk to each other. Because I'm sure the owl probably heard about the moon incident and felt bad about it. But if they talk to each other, he might have even gotten blamed by the other spirits for the moon incident. Well that would of course affect his reaction here.
Toph was an absolute bad ass in this episode, actually being able to hold up the library to keep the others from dying might be her single most impressive feat in the series. Also Sokka finally getting to show how smart he actually is was absolutely fantastic.
I really hope you will get to Summertime Render soon, it is a fantastically written horror-thriller mystery anime with smart characters, great story and characters and the anime is complete, with only small details cut. It was the first to get shafted by D+ before Heavenly Delusion.
It's probably the light hitting her eyes a little differently on each side. Brown eyes can give off a *lot* of variance in their appearance based on lighting. **edit** - correction, per @legokangaroo5010 Lindsay does have heterochromia. :)

I was thinking the same thing. It's going to be verrry rough, especially certain parts I can think of. 😅

When was that? I must have missed it.

That owl is the scariest thing in this show, and the face stealer exists
*Wan Shi Tong
Wong Shi Tong is voiced by Hector Elizondo, the head of security in The Princess Diaries.
It's really dark how they end up turning Appa into glue, RIP
Carson's face with the Lion Turtle lol
Toph really is the clutch bender, the Gaang would be so screwed without her

He'll probably transform into another animal. Not a bad end for someone like him who values knowledge for knowledge sake so much.
