Please, dont say that. This channel treat guineas pigs all wrong! As a vet, it makes me sick looking at these videos and finding these comments. People that actually trust guys that post content like this.. Always google about it and look for online opinions from trustworthy veterinarians.
Great idea, but never use this channel to learn how to treat your guinea pigs. This channel does it all wrong. Baths like that shouldnt be given as well, what vets recommend are dry baths. Always look for trustworthy information.
@@aidenralston5477 Well, as a vet, I must say the idea of giving them baths shouldnt depend on if your guinea pig likes water or not. It doesnt matter if your guinea pig handles baths well. Veterinary medicine doesnt recommend baths for them and there are lots of reasons for it, specially the health problems involved. Baths like those should be given only if the dry baths are not enough to clean and, even so, its almost like twice a life.

My potato keeps on getting scared and tries to jump out of the sink. This was nutty. Blossom, my other piggy she's calm. How do I make Nutty feel alright? I use Guinea Pig Shampoo from Pets at Home which is a UK brand
Well if your pig is like my girlfriends, they’ll be flinging around and screeching so they don’t get wet or they just shut down due to being so scared.
My 2 piggies were squeaking until yesterday where they both went quiet and they haven’t squeaked or ran and making noise we took them out and they didn’t squeak when we pet them. Do you have any ideas why please help
I higly recommend taking them out everyday for some time. That's probably stress and just petting them wont actually help. Btw, I also dont recommend baths as the video shows, it might be cute but not necessary and risky when we're talking about skin problems. That's an advice as a vet, google about Environmental enrichment to prevent stress and also take a look at dry baths to guinea pigs.
As a vet, I think I should warn you you caused some intern damage to your guinea pig without even knowing: First, no matter your guinea pig likes water or not, you shouldnt bathe him. Only dry baths are recommended. Second, lettuce also shouldnt be given (in any case) to any rabbit, hamster or guinea pig. And no, its doesnt matter the quantity, it shouldnt be given, neither in big or small portions. Please always look for trustworthy information about taking GOOD care of pets. You can even Google about it and look for veterinary advices.

@@lukopchinski lol guinea pigs can be given romaine lettuce. Not iceberg lettuce. And you can give them baths, but only when necessary, like if they're incredibly dirty. Just make sure to dry them well afterwards. Also, I don't even have a guinea pig, I was just curious as to how the person got their guinea pig to eat lettuce whilst taking a bath, so idk why you're telling me this

yes pls get two because a guinea pig alone can be stressed and bored and fortunately, may not survive. That is why i have gotten two
They are social animals and absolutely need at least one other guinea pig. So you absolutely need 2.

I always just gave my guinea pig some lettuce to eat whilst bathing them, they just sit and eat and don't care about being washed.
