About your little rant. I just always remember some comments about people not looking conventionally attractive or having euro-centric features on showbiz. They would often say, “why is s/he there?” And if s/he isn’t funny or a comedian, s/he doesn’t bring anything to the table and is to some degree irrelevant. It’s a view pretty common amongst the older gen. I’ve also just watched a video of unrealistic beauty standards and it’s prevail-ant all over the world and perpetuated by the media.
i agree with this so much!!! the older generation got so used to seeing these conventionally attractive people on mainstream media. this affects how they see beauty or talent... super unrealistic and so harmful to the mindset of younger generations :(
