    A way I could see to prevent the plastic melting is maybe drip feed some water into it so that it cools it off and keeps it under 100c. When making glasses we opticians use a system like that specifically to prevent the melting of the plastic we’re working on and too assure a cleaner finish

      Thanks! This is just for the people who want to find out how to do a brass breech but don't want to have to watch through a whole mod video when they're just after the breech.

    I'm going to save this video in a play list. Not many nerf videos explain why your flair the brass piping

    how would i do this so i could add a scar barrel to the end of the barrel

      You'd have to do a sealed breech instead, much like I showed in my Tracker mod video more recently. I'll do a more in depth video on my style of a sealed pusher breech sometime soon-ish.

    Which diameter should the drill have? 17/32“??

    • @MongooseJakeNerf
      @MongooseJakeNerf  4 года назад +1

      17/32 is what I use, followed up by a bit of filing by hand with a round file to get a really nice fit with the 17/32 brass. Be sure to go backwards rotation wise with the drill, do not drill forward as it'll tear into the plastic too much. Using the drill rotating backwards does more of a grinding method.

    any plans on brassing projects on stuff like the gem or wizard?

    • @MongooseJakeNerf
      @MongooseJakeNerf  5 лет назад

      Yes, plan to do about 15-20 different blasters by spring!

    Ok. Can't wait to try this on my Fortnite sniper project. Is it worth adding a brass barrel as well? How would that connect with this type of breach

    • @MongooseJakeNerf
      @MongooseJakeNerf  2 года назад +1

      You'd need to do the sealed type of breech in order to also use a brass barrel. This type I show here is literally the easiest to do, but it's not able to work with a brass barrel as it won't seal against the barrel. This breech is good up to about HvZ/small game type performance (say 120-140 fps max).

      @@MongooseJakeNerf perfect thank you bud. Shall just stick to this. Keep it simple 😁🤙

    Actually a lazy breech is a stock bolt and a brass barrel ,still good video

    • @MongooseJakeNerf
      @MongooseJakeNerf  5 лет назад +1

      The term gets used kind of loosely, can be stock bolt/brass barrel like you said (normal meaning) or some use it to describe this type here. I prefer to just call this a simple breech personally.
