- Getting into the Halloween spirit with a visit to one of the most reputedly haunted locations in the United States - Bobby Mackey's Music World! This honky tonk bar has been owned by country musician Bobby Mackey since 1978. Alleged hauntings and demonic activity have made this a popular destination for paranormal enthusiasts.
Come along with me on a ghost tour into the dark, decrepit dwelling that lies below the dance floor. That is where the "gateway to hell" resides, an old well found underneath the floorboards that the blood and guts of animal carcasses drained into when this was a slaughter house over 120 years ago.
And if the supernatural isn't your thing I do feature some music by Bobby Mackey himself toward the end of this video! It's especially great to hear live music again after this crazy year of pandemic/govt. enforced shut-downs.

You often have skeptics who claim that paranormal activity doesn't exist in a place just because nothing happened when they were there . Just remember spirits are not trained dogs who always come when you call.

@@matthewryanmayes486 You got that right. Respect is one of the biggest thing we all need to show towards these spirits. I actually treat them as if they are still alive. A lot of ppl use these opportunities to speaking with spirits as entertainment. When ppl who have passed should never be used for entertainment. Yes we watch these shows because we all want to know what happens when we die and or to see if we are able to communicate with the other side. Especially if someone is stuck and lonely needs help. It breaks my heart to even think that. We need to show respect in order to get respect. Matthew thank you.

I was there back in 2013. Us 8 in our little paranormal group had full access to the place all night.. the caretaker at the time sadly passed away a month after we were there. I saw ghost adventures "x" camera tape in the attic going to the catwalk above the stage.., saw the riding bull, saw the well, smelled the rose perfume, many other things including shadows. **most dont know that they are an apartment in the main top floor of there. The caretaker stayed in it and he told us we had exclusive access to "his" apartment.** IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE THAT I WOULD DO AGAIN AND AGAIN!!

As far as demonic activity and the worship activities being responsible for the demonic activity, I've learned through the years that slaughter farms in general often attract demons. Animal sacrifice and their blood have been an offering or gift for several millennia. My pareidolia with what the tour guide described as George Bush in the cement wall was that of a profile popping out from behind the face of George Bush. Great video I try to catch most all paranormal investigations at Bobby Mackey's, excellent video!
I've known about Bobby Mackeys since the mid 90s and not only did Ghost Adventures visit it. I think the Ghist Hunters team did too

I first heard of Bobby Mackey's in 1989 on unsolved mysteries, with Robert Stack.
The moment I heard that the place is a former "slaughter house"..ahhh .. probably legit. I've worked as a butcher before..I've seen and felt some...weird things in some slaughter house...It's better to report late in the slaughter house where there are a lot of people, than going early where no one is still around.

?? I just went went on a tour here last night night and the tour guide said the slaughterhouse was never even on this site. It was down the road.

Should put alot of holy water on the well bless that place and cleanse it.

I never comment on RUclips videos but with nick leaving I believed him of his reasons...I've personally experienced things that I can't explain but it happens when you don't expect anything and not there to "investigate"
I think all that activity ( line dancing ) above Pearls dressing room, makes the ghosts very active. Unfortunately, there are not that many videos of the tour (when its active upstairs), but I'm sure that's when "some" folks will see something. Ghosts are very active during construction ( and the noise above is very similar to that, and its night time). We need more video's of the tour (on a busy Fri/sat night). I'm surprised there are not more videos of the tour.

"Sightings" was a TV show back in the 90s that covered this place. It's been on my bucket list ever since. Unfortunately I can't find much about that show or specifically that episode because I remember it having some other details I don't see here or anywhere else. I think the show may have made up some of it.

Wow, just read into this! Did not know they were relocating and tearing down the original location. That’s huge news! I guess they are preserving the “portal to hell” and the wall of faces and will have them at the new location in Florence, KY. A piece of history going away, it’s too bad.
That’s two locations now along with the Domes of Casa Grande, Arizona that I’ve documented that are no longer standing.

At 21:00 there’s another face. If you look just to the left of the girl’s face, it looks like a bigger face looking to the left. You can see an open mouth with a nose and even a forehead

What exactly happened and why is it haunted??
The stories are mostly embellished / false about the Pearl Bryan connection (lady who was beheaded in the late 1800s by her boyfriend nearby) and unfounded claims about devil worship there. However, there is definitely bad mojo there with all the legit murders and bloodshed that happened in it's various incarnations (gambling casino / speakeasy, biker bar, etc)

That's cool! Most of the story they tell at Bobby Mackey's is fabricated. I think according to official records the killers Scott Jackson and Alonzo Walling might have passed by the area but no indication they stopped there. They both implied they thru the head into the Ohio river. I did come across an article doing research on something else once that the "hack driver" , the guy who rode the funeral cart for Pearl Bryan was in some sort of accident and the newspaper blamed the "Evil Eye of Walling" on it so there was definitely some superstition surrounding it but as far as the head being in the well I think has been debunked. I know somewhere out there you can find the crime scene photo of Pearl Bryan.
This makes me cringe because other than his wife being pushed down the stairs nothing was public until Ghost adventures came...now they are profitable from it and it just seems like a haunted house attraction like netherworld in ATL ga.

Thank you, it's tough to juggle on the side with a full time job...but I do have a lot of plans in the works for locations and ideally want to focus on more haunted destinations as well as historic spots less traveled. Always learning as I go, but I enjoy doing this.

I think most of the Pearl Bryan narrative came from Doug Hensley who wrote the book when he talked to Carl Lawson about it. Even the exorcism seemed to have Doug feeding info. The mafia stuff though is real and there is probably some dark stuff there but they sensationalize a lot of the information like the existence of Johanna or that Pearl Bryan was killed there or her head being in the well.

Things me and my party that went on numberous occasions experienced some shit that is very strange and not mane made. I agree if you hear a place is haunted and you go there you will make yourself believe there is strange activity but I stumbled upon this bar back in 1995 with my friends and family and it was not a tourist attraction no hauntings but a poster inside that said enter at your own risk LOL bobby Mackey it’s definitely full of energy
