@@JCrook1028 nothing against Chris, I've been a Heavy Equipment Operator fir 27yrs. Pushing dirt to me is like watching paint dry.. I like when he's setting pipe, Grading. Not to interested in scooping Mud out of a Pond, or pushing dirt, my 15yr old grandson does pushes dirt and loads dump trucks all day long. He loves it, so he does most of that.
I absolutely love seeing the black smoke roll out of that D6. I’ve been watching your videos for some time now. They just keep getting better. There’s just something about that old Cat iron. I love it.
Finally! 😂 I've been waiting for this. Both dozers working. Check Dirt being moved. Check Chris getting video. Check Bealy good getting even more footage. Check Pond build off to a good start.
Finally, Chris no more stumping and he begins the pond build. A nice hour long video to get it kicked off. Thanks Cris for some lunch time entertainment.
Sure was hoping she would make an appearance today. She is a beast and will make loading that truck fast work. Of course the fuel burn rate might be hard to swallow at these prices today.
Been watching this from the beginning Chris! You are a master of your craft...thanks for sharing all you do! I am a Carpenter been in the trades my whole life...it sure makes it worthwhile when you can do it with your hands...no one can take that from us. Keep the good work sir!
Chris here in Australia we have a family of farmer’s called the Jackson brothers, it is very interesting watching you both and comparing the work load you do with your machinery and another vlog I love watching is cutting edge engineering Kurt builds and repair’s parts for your kind of machinery, all of you keep me entertained for hours when I can’t sleep thank you very much keep your vlogs coming
I've been looking forward to this ever since you mentioned the big pond. I don't want to see another tree stump, until you get to a tree stump that needs to be ripped out again. Lol We just love to see you work Chris. But we're probably ALMOST as tired of the stumps in this project as you are! Almost.
I love seeing that old equipment put back in action. Takes me back to when Me and my buddy Tim spent a whole summer watching machines like this build a new road behind his house. May not seem like it but what Chris has done with these old machines is pretty green. It takes a whole lot of mining and energy to build big machines like that.
Nice to see the machines having an easier time of it now, it's almost like they are having fun with it.😃 I suspect that goes for the operators too.🤨 Nice job Chris and all those involved.😉 Be well all.😊
I didn't realize how much volume of dirt the Old Cat could push till it push up and over back of dam and the dirt slid down !! WOW !! Lil Komatsu holding its own.... nice work and video 📹 👏 Thanks for camera work by Bealy Good 👍 😀
Your skill set on these machines is far above any of the other people that I’ve seen on other channels you can see that you were brought up on these machines and they are simply a extension of your arms and hands and it shows in the speed and quality of your work! Well done sir!
You need you a plow for the back of that tractor, for that hard stuff. I really like listening to those old cats run. I ran an old 9N, briefly, back in the late 70s at a strip. Spent most of my time there on a 988 and 992 loading trucks.
Must have felt good to really move some dirt instead of stumping! Great job today! I loved this video, loved seeing the D6 . I like the inside cab shot of the D6 too!
I could set and watch and listen to that Cat 6 run all day long and never tire of it, the 6 is in its element now, doing what it was made to do, move dirt. I must be a pleasure to operate it. Thanks for the ride along sir.
New pond + Cat D6 + 1 hour plus of Letsdig18 = pure awesomeness! Keep doing these big ponds you will need a pan! 😉 definitely differnt making pond there then up here. Up here throw some dirt at the end of a holler and walla you got a pond!!
Chris watching your channel reminds me how much I like to operate machines. I just wish their was more call for it around where I live at. If their was I would come out of retirement.
Ten (10) buckets 🪣 full in the haul Truck in 2 minutes and 20 seconds at 58:36.. that rock quarry worthy… and they do go around timing ⏱ everything.!! 😎👌👍✅
Elevations are hard to see on video! until today with the start of the dam against the tree line, it really highlights the topography! WOW just what a difference!
The pond build finally begins! Yay!!! Now you see what I mean when I said (when you bought the Cat) the D6 would run circles around the Koma... and you would only be limited by traction. She's finally getting to do what she was designed for... moving mountains (of dirt). Waiting anxiously for the next episode, and looking forward to seeing how this build progresses!!!
Really enjoyable video ... like seeing the design process and how it is and will all come together. Thanks also for Mr Bealy Good's footage and also to your "helper" for being just that - your helper 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Hey Chris / Tim & Bealy !!! Lots of dirt to move to make 2500 to 3000 loads on ""BARNEY "" !!!! What a job to take on as looks better every day that the work goes on !!! 🙃😉😊🤔🤔🤠😎😮👍👍👍👍👍
The poor little Komatsu just looks sad trying to push dirt next to the D6, but then again, it will shine in the final work where the D6 is more cumbersome. Thanks for sharing.
For the amount of machines you run there it’s a lot of work. In the beginning of the year we built a gas drilling site of about 20000m2. We had to haul of about 70k yards of moor and haul in about the same amount of of sand and gravel. My colleagues loaded out 24yd tractors with tandem dumpers with a Cat 320D and 324E. I had to push in the sand with our D6M. That took us about 3 weeks to finish. So you will have a lot of work ahead with that small amount of machines. I’m hyped for the next videos and the finished pond. Keep up with the awesome work and videos! Greetings from Germany
Damn, that is beautiful top soil. That is the real deal, rich loamy mineral soil with a high organic content, not crappy compost. Soils under deciduous trees are among the best. Six inches of that stuff will produce the best lawns. I couldn't find that out west where I am. It doesn't exist.
Nothing better than watching (or operating) a dozer hog out material like that! Love the content. Wish I had the big iron, I only run RC stuff, for now :)
The moment we've been waiting for.....the pond dig begins. I bet you had a smile on your face as soon as you stepped into the D6 to start blading. :) :)
That's what I am talking about, you gave us a prelim the other videos, fixing the over flow and the dredging, got us in a pond building mode. Makes you wanna sing 🎶 Chris is doing a pond, Chris is doing a pond.
Chris I know you have operated equipment more than I have but on that old dozer when pushing to save your steering brake again your blad hard into the direction you want to turn so you want wear the brakes out . Just way it works for me on the older dozers
Thanks for letting us watch nobody forces you to but you choose to bring us along god bless you i love watching cause i can't do nothing anymore can't stand up but if i could get up there i could still cut blue top no doubt when its in your blood you never lose it
Scraping the packed soil off the pipe was artistic, like you've done it a thousand times or so. That D6 dozer means business, sure sounds and runs great. Get er done.
That ol dozer was doing its job well, eating dirt and working hard. Great video, thank you Chris.
I absolutely love that D6! It's got to be the best piece of equipment you've ever bought. Keep diggin Chris.
Pond builds are the best! Looking forward to this series.
It’s gonna be good to see it from start to finish, with no existing pond to tie into, don’t think I’ve seen that yet.

It's awesome that machines as old the D6 are still out there working hard and making money.
The D6 and Betty. Hope she is back soon. These older machines have so much character. Love these units. Thank you Chris
