    Thank you for making a video, and it's informative and good as well! Wouldn't know what to do without it. Absolutely here for the 306 tutorials, not too many of them out there, but it did not hurt that you're handsome as well. LOL :) Please tell me if you're making a video of of the rear third (center) brake light, I've been trying to wrap my head around how to get the led light bar replaced.

      What's up with the third brake light??

      @@PiggyPowerShoot, just realised the hatch-backs may not have a third brake light? I own a 2002 model 306 Cabriolet. There is a vertical brake light in the top corner of the boot compartment, with about 14 light bulbs. Most of them do not work, so couldn't get my car through the last EU-test because of it. Two screws holds it in place from inside, but there's no actual access to the light bulbs/bar from inside the trunk. I suspect that maybe I have to pry the glass out from the outside - do you happen to know anything about it? :)

    This video was basically the confirmation i need for how to access the key cylinder. Everything else I found said it was just a screw behind a bung on the door but from this view I am see that it is screwed inside the door.

    Mr Piggy, what a delight to have found this! I just purchased a Ph3 XS 5-door with the upper cloth trim having become unglued. Is there a trick how to get this off and then glue it back on or is the cloth so thin it’ll likely rip into pieces?

    hi Piggy,
    Love your repair videos of the Peugeot 306, maybe you know how to fix when the inner door handle spring breaks. is it a complete new unit or can you repair/replace the spring plus is it a hard job to fix?
    luckily it's not the out side handle and it still works but it doesn't pop back in place and sadly it the drivers side.

    • @PiggyPower
      @PiggyPower  Год назад

      How do you mean the door handle spring??

      @@PiggyPower the inner door handle when opening the car from inside jumps back in position, don't know the part name of it but mine stop doing that after i heard a metal spring or something snap. so i'm curios if these can be replaced or fixed?

    • @PiggyPower
      @PiggyPower  Год назад

      Does it still open the door? Its just a rod which connects that handle to the lock mechanism.

    • @Jasenkob
      @Jasenkob Год назад +2

      Hi, I know what you mean, had the same thing. So, the inner handle has a small metal sprin that pulls the handle back towards the door when you have opened the door from the inside. This spring is located around the hinge of the handle. It is not hard to fix, once you follow the steps of this video. I removed the broken spring in my car because it was interfering with the operation. I had to remove the hinge pin of the handle to do that but it was easy. Now I push the handle back in whenever operating the handle. My plan is to make a trip to the junkyard soon and find another spring.

    Great video...but my 306 Cabriolet only has 2 Tork screws behind the electric window switch and just below the door mirror panel. The other holes where you'd expect a bolt (under front end of armrest) and behind the door catch are blank, unlike the 306 in the video. I've followed the rest of the instructions but something is holding the door panel in place...any ideas, anyone? Cheers, David

    Yesterday I was about to drive home, when I thought I would see if my electric passenger window was working (it stopped working before Xmas 2022). Amazingly it decided to work and then it stuttered, came back on again and then would not work to go back up. So now I have to strip the door down with whatever tools I have, and get the motor to move the window before it rains. At least I know the window motor and drivers side switch still work. The passenger door switch illuminates and was working a few months ago, so I assume it still does. The door mirror still moves and works on that side, so I assume the window is getting power too? So it must be some of the other loom wires gone bad perhaps. Apart from wire wiggling and inserting, I could apply 12v straight to the motor to at least get it wound up again.

      Have fun 👋😂

    • @EgoShredder
      @EgoShredder Год назад

      @@PiggyPower If you can throw a little advise my way that would be cool. So far I have tested things with a multimeter, and the passenger door switch is working up+down with 12V feed present.
      The 2-pin female plug going to the motor/regulator has 12v present as well.
      Motor sounded fine before it stopped working the other day, but is not doing anything/no noise etc.
      As I am a noob I just very briefly connected 12V the other day direct to the motor from a spare car battery, but got big sparks on the + battery terminal but the cables did not get hot or even warm. No smoke or weird smells from anything, so dunno if I did any harm or not, but the motor did nothing.
      I have another model of this 306 2.0 XSi sat in the drive, but its a 3-door phase 3 and so the electric window motor/regulator might not fit my main 5-door phase 2? The Haynes 306 service manual is no help with this, and online parts stores have contradicting compatibility data.
      One thing to note is sometime last year the left car stereo speaker went off, so that could be loom related perhaps but if the window switch and motor plug are getting power + ground and switch signals, then I guess all that part is working.

    • @PiggyPower
      @PiggyPower  Год назад

      Checked the door to chassis loom?
      Did you try reversing the poles on the motor plug?
      I'm not sure the 3/5dr modules are the same

    • @EgoShredder
      @EgoShredder Год назад

      @@PiggyPower Actually I did not reverse the polarity when the battery was hooked up directly to the two pins on the motor.
      I pulled back the rubber to expose the loom between the door and the car body, and what I could see looked good.
      So if the motor/regulator unit on the ph3 car looks right, is it possible to swap only that over to the ph2 car, without having to mess around with the metal silver frame around the glass? Or does it require every part of the frame and motor swapped in one go?
      Thanks for your help (long time subber here
      😁 )

    • @PiggyPower
      @PiggyPower  Год назад +1

      Not sure what you mean by the frame around the glass?
      The glass just has a hole with the plastic bung in it.
      The motor and cables are all linked onto the runner, all part of the same thing.
      If you've got a spare motor/regulator, even if it doesn't physically fit... Why not just hook it up as part of a diagnosis?
