This vet always gives the best attention to what he is doing. He finds the abscess, shaves the area, washes and rinses the area gives the animal a pain and antibiotics shot before starting the procedure. Just when you think he is through he washes out the cyst area and cleans out the sac then drenches a drainage cloth with medication and inserts the cloth strip before he is finished. He is a great vet and a treat to watch him work. God bless you for all your good works.
Cows are actually so sweet. I’m so thankful for this vets care and attentiveness to the animal and her pain. His treatment protocols are the same that would be used on a human patient.
Is this the normal procedure? I know it is easy to be critical but the poor cow seems to be getting tortured? Did it get any pain relief or infection control afterward?
Why didn't he cut her at the bottom so gravity could help? I'm sorry but I feel for the cow. What pain she must of felt digging around in there like that
Unfortunately this video was very dark. Perhaps not enough lighting? Also I saw a comment about the veterinarian numbing the abscess site, I think the poor cow could have used more. I do believe the veterinarian knows exactly how to treat abscesses he did do a good job.
Nanny B I saw someone say it could have been a deep bruise as well. It seems like anything a cow gets it’s a minimum of 15 lbs bigger than it would be on a human.
Also the abscess can have many pockets and since its quite large the scissors don't reach to the other side. So to fully drain the site, multiple incisions are needed. Also there could be more than just the abscess itself
My question, is there a reason why this cow wasn't numbed? Granted I do know that sometimes the farmers tell you no, or the cow may be allergic. I am good with whatever answer you give, I've worked with a vet and heard almost all of his stories.
I've watched a few videos involving animals and I don't understand why they aren't given numbing medicine before their eyes abscesses or cysts are lanced and drained. This has to be painful for these animals and I feel badly for how they must endure these procedures (especially the cutting) without the consideration that people are given! What is up with that?
Still wondering why you are allowed to drain anything on these animals when you do not put forth any effort to COMPLETELY numb the affected area and as LOW DOWN as possible for total drainage. You cut high enough to leave a type of pocket that can start the problem all over again!!!
@Lori Hanks the ONLY thing that's irrelevant is you and your stupidity. That cow isn't in anywhere near as much pain as people think if anything it's just irritated. No point pumping our food full of unnecessary drugs. But idiots like you don't use much of your brain. Go read the other comments and go educate yourself. I'm not arguing with stupid
This Vet is great. You are admired more than you think. Please, Please, always take this kind of care with the animals. Don’t ever change. We appreciate, and they most certainly appreciate it.
I have a few questions and don't want to sound stupid . in our state and maybe other states they put a hole on side of cow to release gas can you explain to me of the reasons it is done? My other question is the milk if the milk they take from the cow is for human do they have enough for cavfe as well??
Your by far the BEST Vet I’ve watched. I know the animals are in good hands with you . You should be training someone so they know how to properly care for animals
I have watched several of this vets procedures and he is great. On this video however I did not see any cleaning of the location that he gave the vein injection which I'm not sure if this is a common practice and I did not see him administer the lidocane prior to cutting the wound. I noticed there were several breaks in the video and I am thinking that maybe it was done in between filming.
Animal appear to be in pain. I saw him and Jack something at the beginning but I didn't see any local anesthesia. Maybe this is a shortened version of the original video. Could be that they cut two holes so they could insert the drain, or perhaps it had to separate cyst going on. I have seen this vet do other procedures and was very impressed with his technique and the care he gave the animal. Other videos seem to be more Humane than this one. Perhaps the pain medicine didn't work because of the level of infection.
local anesthesia does not work well with infection even in humans. He did give IV sedation. What annoyed me was the huge advertisement which got in the way
Why is the area you are cutting in not numbed ?? Clearly its hurting the cow while trying to find the abscess, why wouldnt you numb the area you are cutting in ??
First, that back leg should have been hobbled to prevent injury to the vet and to prevent mistakes when the cow moves while trying to open the cyst. Second, that incision should have been lower and made much quicker and with more confidence, not all those tiny, hesitant cuts. Not impressed.
Gosto muito de assistir procedimento cirúrgico em animais de grande porte..só não me agrada qdo são levados para o matadouro.isso me dói muito eu choro.pois sou vegetariana
I don't understand why they dont give this poor animal some sort of pain medication. I mean shes trying to kick him cause it hurts her. Have a heart, how much can it cost!?
@KeeboVet Hi doc. I've seen you do many procedures that worked wonderfully. Would you tell us the situation here, because most of the comments are negative. Never saw you have such a hard time as this. Thanks much.
Why do you use a little blade instead of a proper scalpel that is easier to handle, and thus easier to open up the abscess. There seems to be a lot of effort into opening it up..... Thnx
Poor girl, maybe she needed more anesthetic. When I have local surgery, I always need double the anesthetics cz I can still feel the pain. Low pain threshold. Maybe she's got a low pain threshold too, cz this Dr is excellent.
Is this the usual KeboVet? Because this is horrific. How many slashes does he make in this cows abscess? The poor creature was clearly in a huge amount of pain. If he did that to someone's dog, he'd be sued and probably beaten up.
Lo I disagree. It’s probably more that the antibiotics they feed these animals regularly impact the immune system in the LONG RUN. Short-term solution over long-term health. And if your cow IS eating antibiotics constantly, but still gets abscesses like this - then effing DUH! The animal’s immune system has CLEARLY become antibiotic resistant.
You can tell it hurts I'm so sorry poor cow

Thanks for explaining the video for us peons who don’t know what is happening, we’re all so dumb.
He didn’t give pain meds this time because the cow was repeatedly jumping from pain.
TV Ewa
We need give animals just as much care for pain during surgery Procedures
Cows are actually so sweet. I’m so thankful for this vets care and attentiveness to the animal and her pain. His treatment protocols are the same that would be used on a human patient.
I can agree I can even see the similarities to the access procedure I had done in my mouth
Except, a dr for humans continues to give lidocaine etc until the patients feels nothing sharp. She was clearly in pain.
You've got to be kidding
Is this the normal procedure? I know it is easy to be critical but the poor cow seems to be getting tortured? Did it get any pain relief or infection control afterward?
The vet does know what he is doing. Shame it was recorded on a VGA camera with no focus.
Poor animal, he suffered so through this 😢
she did suffer poor girl, but he is a good vet and she will feel much better after this
Why didn't he cut her at the bottom so gravity could help? I'm sorry but I feel for the cow. What pain she must of felt digging around in there like that
That veterinarian looks like he don't know what he is doing because you can see that the cow is feeling everything he is doing
Consistently taking his time AND doing it right.
Unfortunately this video was very dark. Perhaps not enough lighting?
Also I saw a comment about the veterinarian numbing the abscess site, I think the poor cow could have used more.
I do believe the veterinarian knows exactly how to treat abscesses he did do a good job.
Never have I observed this Vet have such a hard time. I felt so badly for the cow. Could this have been something other than a cyst???
Nanny B I saw someone say it could have been a deep bruise as well. It seems like anything a cow gets it’s a minimum of 15 lbs bigger than it would be on a human.

Wow that was great love those popers.
My question, is there a reason why this cow wasn't numbed? Granted I do know that sometimes the farmers tell you no, or the cow may be allergic. I am good with whatever answer you give, I've worked with a vet and heard almost all of his stories.
It's because she is bred, I noticed that near the end.
I've watched a few videos involving animals and I don't understand why they aren't given numbing medicine before their eyes abscesses or cysts are lanced and drained. !
They are it's the shot prior to the lancing
What the hell do you think people did back then when there wasn't all this pain drugs etc?
@Lori Hanks the ONLY thing that's irrelevant is you and your stupidity. That cow isn't in anywhere near as much pain as people think if anything it's just irritated. No point pumping our food full of unnecessary drugs. But idiots like you don't use much of your brain. Go read the other comments and go educate yourself. I'm not arguing with stupid
Did he not numb with lidocaine this time? Every other video he did such a good job. This one makes me sad.
NO PUEDO DEJAR DE MIRAR. QUE. BELLEZA. MUCHAS GRACIAS
Turn the light on in that camera...would've been interesting to SEE IT!
This Vet is great. You are admired more than you think. Please, Please, always take this kind of care with the animals. Don’t ever change. We appreciate, and they most certainly appreciate it.

handle on the scalpel blade would have helped ... and you can't see anything for keebovet watermark on video
No numb injection?
She doesn't act like she got a painkiller. Poor thing is jumping and trying to get away. It didn't get any better either as the video progressed. 😞
Your by far the BEST Vet I’ve watched. I know the animals are in good hands with you . You should be training someone so they know how to properly care for animals
I wonder why the vet did numb the area up first like he usually does. The animal was suffering through this procedure 😢
I think this could be done with less pain. I saw no numbing, just cutting and godging a sore wound.
What is the injection? Antibiotics? I am so impressed by your care and expertise!! Wow!!
Numb it first then use a scalpel?
This Vet. Is a awesome Vet. 👍👍👍👍
he is a professional. Respect
vary good dr
Thank God for the Veteran
A great vet good job, knows his work..but please change the back-ground music,so monotonous....
How many times do you have to slash that poor animal!?

Poor 🐄 please numb the area Pls 😲 she's in PAIN😢.!!!!! thank you ☹️ from Bklyn NY 1/11/21
That cow is like ... stop it that hurts .damnit your pissing me off

This abscess is probably filled with harder pieces of material and it's hard to get out.
thats probably why he had to cut so many times
Don't mean to sound dumb but is the blue stuff an antiseptic? What keeps flies from getting inside of the wound?
you caught that early on, good job guys
Why is the area you are cutting in not numbed ?? Clearly its hurting the cow while trying to find the abscess, why wouldnt you numb the area you are cutting in ??
what did he inject before he cut the abcess?
Why is the liquid coming out clear?
First, that back leg should have been hobbled to prevent injury to the vet and to prevent mistakes when the cow moves while trying to open the cyst.
Second, that incision should have been lower and made much quicker and with more confidence, not all those tiny, hesitant cuts.
Not impressed.
Oye pero ponle anestesia!! Que clase de médico!
Gosto muito de assistir procedimento cirúrgico em animais de grande porte..só não me agrada qdo são levados para o matadouro.isso me dói muito eu choro.pois sou vegetariana
🎉 Great 👌 work !!!!!
Just asking, does two holes is necessary?
What about local anesthesia
I don't understand why they dont give this poor animal some sort of pain medication. I mean shes trying to kick him cause it hurts her. Have a heart, how much can it cost!?
I've watched 3 videos now where you did a good humane job. Sedated, sbaves, washed sterile, and was easy on each animal
Don't he know that without local it hurts the cow! It's a miracle he didn't get kicked!
If I did this to my dog he'd bite me. And I'd deserve it.
Is there novocaine?
@KeeboVet
Hi doc. I've seen you do many procedures that worked wonderfully. Would you tell us the situation here, because most of the comments are negative. Never saw you have such a hard time as this. Thanks much.
AMATEUR !!!!! What country was this in ?
That is NOT a normal abcess..what is it ..clear fluid draining ?
Give the cow more pain meds, they do not cost much.
He used tender touch 526p.m.
Yo pienso que el doctor fallo en este proceso pues necesito hacer dos orificios para drenar el tumor
Doctor, fine job
Who else just got this on their feed in 2021? 🙋🏻♀️
Afraid this will come back. Didn't get everything
Sir upakar holo super
Why do you use a little blade instead of a proper scalpel that is easier to handle, and thus easier to open up the abscess. There seems to be a lot of effort into opening it up..... Thnx
That is a scalpel.... 😂 😂
Where’s the anesthetic? That poor cow felt him cutting through him
Excellent vet, but camera guy needs serious help.
Sir what u given pre medication in intravenous????
Good job :)
Hay una cosa que se llama anestesia los animales no tienen por qué sufrir dolor😢😢
I would like to help you!
Poor girl, maybe she needed more anesthetic. When I have local surgery, I always need double the anesthetics cz I can still feel the pain. Low pain threshold. Maybe she's got a low pain threshold too, cz this Dr is excellent.
What causes cyst to come on like that
What's that blue stuff he's spraying on at the end?
Copper sulfate. Topical antibiotics
She can feel this!!!???!!!?????!!!
The injection given at the beginning in the neck of the cow is like a form of anesthesia given to humans and are relaxing and almost near knockout
Poor innocent cow that looks so sore 😢
Don't think the numbing meds worked. That cow felt every slice.
Is this the usual KeboVet? Because this is horrific. How many slashes does he make in this cows abscess? The poor creature was clearly in a huge amount of pain. If he did that to someone's dog, he'd be sued and probably beaten up.
That cow was in obvious pain. She should have been numbed.
Obviously torture for the poor animal as it would be for a human. Shameful.
Can't they give the cows something for pain?
Terrible that no Anastasia you can tell the poor cat was in pain absolutely terrible
Un buen reportaje
The video was blurry!!
why put the hole all the way up there? wouldn't it of been better near the bottom
Trudy Preston the soft spot is on the top
I agree. The soft spot may be at the top but gravity pulls down.
Why is this like water coming out?
why lignocane in operetion Site ????
I don't think it was ready to drain just yet.
Why are cows so prone to (or "predisposed" to may be a better description) these huge accesses? What causes them?
+somermiller I'm assuming because of the growth hormones pumped into them in order to produce such mass amounts of milk.
Lo
I disagree. It’s probably more that the antibiotics they feed these animals regularly impact the immune system in the LONG RUN. Short-term solution over long-term health. Ele não soube fazer o corte no lugar certo.
Obviously the lancing is not in the correct area.
What causes abscess in cows
There's one that won't heal. Bad incision points.
That's a tricky one
But what is this fluid ???😮😢
Why are there so many videos that play redundant bits of music. Play whole songs or nothing at all. It's annoying.
Some needs to be cut poked with out sadation and feel the feel that they do to animals
that little blade didn't seem to be the best tool for the job. don't know just looked wrong
