- Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, has one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. Join us, as we take a brief tour of the campus.

I was a student of ECE Department at IISc from 1952-1955. A great educational experience. This is where I first experienced no pressure open book examinations, later to be experienced for my further studies at The University of Michigan in the U.S. I learnt a great deal from the devotion of Prof. Chatterjee and Prof. ( Mrs.) Chatterjee. They gave me my field of Microwave Communications- a field that I followed for the rest of my working life up to age 80. I thank the Institute for my education.

Hi Suvam ji. I really wanna appreciate you for the wonderful video of our IISC. Seriously felt very very excited....and happy to see iisc. I just shed out my tears.... because I was born and brought up in IISC for 25 years. Now I'm 25 years. I remembered all my memories after watching this video. Now we're not in IISC because my dad got retired last year....we vacated our house. I love the nature of our IISC. It's just a heaven. Thank you so much for the video 😊😊.

What your parents were professor or Scientist?
In 2004 I was there for several days for a UNESCO organized workshop on IT. I love the place especially the greenery . I have been to Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. My favorite place is Bangalore.
Bangalore has a different charm altogether.
I will achieve you in very near future.Walking into you is such a strongest dream of mine that I am accepting my failure even after all the criticisms.The end matters only and I will write my own. ♥️Iisc.

I have lots of fond memories as my father late. N V Gurjar was serving in this Institute and as a child I used to participate and won many prizes on Founders Day Sports conducted by the institute for family members of their employees. Also I studies in the primary school situated inside the Institute Campus. I have moved all over Institute Campus various departments during my younger days. It was very beautiful,, calm and peaceful with beautiful scenery/ greenery all around. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Usually no. There are specific days when the security will allow you inside, for example the annual Open Days. Otherwise you need valid ID to go inside, or someone with a valid ID will need to take you inside.

There is a BSc program which is quite interdisciplinary---students are free to take engineering courses/projects.

It seems isolated bro.
That's the strange thing: the campus itself is huge, mostly empty (which you'll love). But it's situated at the heart of one of the most happening areas in Bangalore. It's right next to places like New Bel Road and Orion Mall. We literally used to walk to party places outside campus.

you can get iisc through IAT exam too . Don't lose hope
Don't lose hope. There are many avenues to join IISc, including internships, research fellow positions, etc. So make sure you explore everything. You will make it for sure.
