- In this weeks Edinburgh Vlog we take a drive around central Edinburgh. We start at the cowgate, then head towards the new town. A brief bit of princes street then along queen street. We head down Leith Walk then along the shore of Leith. We then start our journey back up Easter Road, Regent road, north bridge and the royal mile. We then finish with a brilliant drive round Arthurs seat.

Great video. & the tram lines on Princes Street go down the middle of the street and theres a statue of one of the Queens above The Art Galleries at the Mound & finally the works and diversions on Leith walk for the tram works start on the 29th of this month.
There are lots of statues if women as part of buildings all round the city. However free standing statues, this is the only one.

@@JKStayinVegas No No!!! It would be the 4th time in three years. This time for 6 weeks. Gets longer each time. Fell in love with Edinburgh the second day on the first trip. Love Scotland and the Scots. I'll be back ASAP. Inverness/Skye/Glencoe/ are calling my name (again) and of Course Edinburgh 9 and a few single malts for good measure.

Slyder Martin Hi slider, thank you so much for replying. No, but a lot of our friends are all staying in all over the UK. And I just saw today the closures of all the pubs and stores and nonessential places, like we started a few days ago. We actually LIVE in Vegas. So as you can imagine, we’ve been dealing with a lot here. When all of the casinos shut down, kind of slowly, we were just in amazement but happy that they were doing it to stop it from spreading. But then all of a sudden one day our governor mandated that the entire state of Nevada close all the casinos throughout the state. And, just like that, everything started happening. We’ve done a couple of vlogs while we’re stuck in the house. When they announced the closures of everything and all that’s happening throughout the world, we knew that was going to be the end of our travel plans for this year anyway. We’ll just have to wait it out and see what happens. But the UK is calling for sure! We too fell in love with Edinburgh, pretty much the first day we were there. It just felt, like home. 💗😊

Thanks Tony for such a fun informative video , especially your enthusiasm driving round Arthur's seat , so many locals take it for granted that we have this amazing & unique landscape in Holyrood park close to the city centre , it feels like you are in the countryside much like walking next to the Water of Leith river between the Dean village & Stockbridge. You should get a job as a guide on one of those double decker tour buses with all that knowledge ! ;-)
A lovely way to start Saturday Morning. Loved the drive. My heart aches for all who have posted here that cancelled their trips to Edinburgh. Was going to be back there in 3 weeks myself. I really enjoyed my drive round Edinburgh lol. With the current Coronavirus sitution I don't think I'll be able to get to Edinburgh as I'd planned so I'll settle myself down with a glass of something and watch all of your videos (again) back to back. Stay safe both of you .

Thanks for the drive around! It looks different when driving but still awesome. Some of the old warehouse flats and office buildings remind me of Chicago, there are a lot of old warehouse buildings converted to condos and offices here. Your weather is better than Chicago you have more sun. I'm hopeful that my trip there in October will not be affected by the Covid19 outbreak and that by then all will be back to normal. Fingers crossed 🤞

I really enjoy some of your older videos s where your and Kirsten would sit and unbox, play a game or just talk. Also how about making some traditional Scottish foods or pastries at home.
Tony this is by far one of my most favorite videos you have done!! I really felt as if I were driving around town with one of my mates and he was just showing me around. Nice one Tony. I'm in Spain and we're in the first week of a lockdown. Everything's closed except chemists and supermarkets and you can only leave the house to see the doctor, go to the chemists or buy food. So, a nice virtual drive round Edinburgh is just the ticket. What about local gyms? Is there anything available for the tourist staying in your beautiful city? Memberships that can be accessible monthly? Of course not right now, considering social distancing etc, but for future travel plans. Thank you for all you do to bring people into your amazing city, even though I was in Edinburgh three years ago, I'm realizing all I missed simply from enjoying your videos. Stay healthy.
Leith! Robthebear and I walked to the waterfront in Leith from our flat in Edinburgh behind Hollyrude Park and had lunch at Fischer's. Very good food there! We loved our Scotland anniversary vacation so much! We can't hardly wait for another visit!
Been up in Edinburgh for 3 weeks...found out I did not have a open ticket to get home to wales
I will either go to train station on Monday to see if I can get a train home to my son
Then I may insulate my self for another 2 weeks if I get home to wales

I really enjoyed your tour of Edinburgh, I always do, but I think today was my favourite. My old high school at the bottom of Easter road which I believe is now flats, and memories of cycling around the park with a bottle of Vimto and a jammy sandwich in my saddlebag as a kid. Your enthusiasm just made my day.

saw a pic in a history magazine of two women climbing Salisbury crags way back last century , looked incredible.
I used to live 2 minutes away from the painted building in Leith, they recently had is animated using projectors
The drive was great, if you are looking for more ideas about future episodes since social distancing is now the norm how about preparing traditional Scottish meals and comfort food at home and/or some lesser known myths and legends of Edinburgh?

Too many cuts :-( I wish it was all one cut even if it makes the video longer. There is nothing boring about Edinburgh, even when waiting at a light there is so much to see.

I've got your channel on big screen today, nonstop. It felt again as if I was in Edinburgh again (I'm Dutch, also living in the Netherlands). The trip through central Edinburgh was so recognisable. As if my beloved partner was driving me again, to get to know his city.

Please don't stop, as an American who has had the pleasure of visiting Edinburgh dozens of times your video's have made me happy after a long day. It bring's back memories and I just love seeing you cover a place and me sitting here going I've been there. How about making a best of video or compilations of various subject's you have covered. That would be magic, or when this ends cover Scots Rail and just how simple, easy, and cheap it is for tourists to get from say Glasgow to Edinburgh. In all my travels that's the one thing I adore about Scotland, the rail system. Sitting in a hotel room in Glasgow bored because I've been there so much, yet being able to walk down the street hop on the train for 12 pounds and be in Edinburgh in 45 minutes. Then in 10 minutes enjoying a pint on Rose St at The Amber Rose or on The Royal mile at The White Horse or listening to music at Bannermans, or being thoroughly entertain with ghosts at The Banshee. Love this Chanel and keep up the good work, maybe some day do a piece on my friends Skerryvore or The Red Hot Chill Pipers.

Great idea and a nice video. Any plans for doing a video for places worth a day trip out of the city? A friend has recommended Queensferry and North Berwick for a visit. Really liked the place names on the top of the video as you were driving along.

a fort still exist on the hill?
