Do you have other early intermediate pieces or composers that you’d like me to cover in a future video? Leave a comment and let me know!

I've been practicing this piece for about a week now and you are right - I have been playing the triplet incorrectly without realizing it! Thank you.

Which pieces would you suggest for young beginners to learn? What are your criteria?

Hi there - the best advice I can give you if you are a beginner is to work with a teacher to help you find repertoire that is appropriate for you at your current skill level. I do recommend some leveled books of historical music in this blog post - www.jannawilliamson.com/blog/how-to-evaluate-intermediate-repertoire-series

@@JannaWilliamson well, I didn't ask for myself but for kids from 6 to 13 years old.

@@321klick Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. Are you using a beginner method such as Piano Adventures? Many pedagogically sound methods include historical repertoire (such as the easiest minuets) as soon as students are able to read at that level.

@@JannaWilliamson I live in Germany, so I use method books in German language. Unfortunately they include not many classical Peaces. That's the reason I was asking. Maybe there are some etudes or minuets which you would suggest 🤔

@@321klick Ah, I see. I'm not well-versed in what is available in Germany, but I would recommend looking to see if there are good-quality, graded historical compilations available for students. The lowest levels should have various minuets, preludes, pieces by great pedagogues of the past such as Leopold Mozart, Bartok, and Kabalevsky, etc. I'll link a few books here; even if they are not available in your area, you should be able to see the tables of contents to see what I'm talking about as far as types of repertoire. Perhaps another teacher in your area or a pedagogy professor could direct you towards similar books available locally. I do know Alfred has distributors worldwide, so perhaps contact them as well.
