I refuse to believe the tail took a lil more than 12k damage and didn't come off
Metallic Raths always required tons of damage in every game but in Sunbreak is ridiculous the amount of effort to cut their tail. As a Long Sword main I can tell: If you need a tail bring a Zinogre/Seregios Light Bowgun, you will suffer less lol.

this is because of part damage nullification, to prevent the instant destruction of parts early on in the hunt they are sometimes locked behind being enraged or a certain percent of health has been reached, if you happen to have an overlay that shows part damage you’ll reach a point where it just says 1 hp but you won’t be able to break it unless one of the requirements is met

How do you charge then use the stronghold stance? I just get blown up
while charging press L2 button its ZL button on switch 👌 make sure you have 2 wirebugs for strong arm
How did you use two shock traps...only allowed one in inventory when out on the hunt
If you bring the required materials you can craft more, the craft action was set on the radial menu
