    This is a lesson on How to play Empty Promises by Black Label Society. Cool heavy metal song, the riffs are not too hard to play but the solo could be challenging. Zakk is known for his lighting fast pentatonic runs and he doesn't miss a beat (no pun intended) in this one either. Great licks that you can take away from this solo!

    This is going to sound dumb, but I just bought a Gibson LP Standard and love Zakk Wylde's sound and guitars style but I'm finding that when I drop the tuning down like this its hard to keep it in tune? I have locking tuners so I'm not sure why this would happen? Wondering if my guitar wasn't set up correctly from the factory, its supposed to be plek'd for precision and gone through an extensive setup? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! PS. - Your lessons are AWESOME! THANKS!

      Take it to a guitar shop and tell them what's the problem. Maybe it needs a set up.

      It may be the gauge of strings you're using. Drop tuning loves bigger bottom end strings. I had 9-46 on my LTD and it wouldn't hold tune well when tuned down. I put 10-52 on it and no more issues.

      Hi...did you have to set up your guitar special for this tuning or did you just drop it down from standard tuning?

    • @GuitarForceCom
      @GuitarForceCom  7 лет назад

      Yes, just drop it down from standard.
