I am a fan of vocalists, I actually appreciate that the crowd respects the fact that some of us go to a concert to hear the artist. I've been to concerts where you would think the energy was amazing, but I couldn't hear the artist I went to see and paid to hear. So, I left disappointed. For me, when it comes to vocalists, I prefer a quieter audience. Especially PTX, whose whole set is vocal.
Saw them in Grand Rapids on 12/16/21. My family bought me tickets for Christmas and it was wonderful. Sit next to a mentally challenged young man and when they song the Twelve Days of Christmas I could hear him singing. He especially liked the “Stink, Stank, Stunk”. I told him he sings beautiful and he lit right up! They bring such joy and happiness. I just recently rediscovered them and since my husband passed nothing has made me as joyful and happy as I feel when I put my headphone on and just listening. Grand Rapids crowd was wonderful. Full house…usher told me 10,000.
You noted that people sat and listened and didn't go wild. Well, I appreciate when people do that. When I pay that much for tickets to see someone I totally, absolutely worship for their talents and dedication to their work, I want to hear them and not everyone around me screaming and going wild. In between songs you can show your appreciation. I think they can see when people are sitting on the edge of their seats, listening and enjoying what they are doing. Most ADULT concerts I attend, this happens. I love watching you react and talk about how videos make you feel. I just wanted to give you a different side of appreciation of concert going. I am of a much older generation and I enjoy clapping and audience participation when the performers ask for it. I love singing along. But I love enjoying the artists I came to see. Keep up your great work. I so enjoy you!👍💖
I agree in general. Same with Beatles concerts. (Note I was born in the 80s) the crowd would scream so loud they couldn't hear the Beatles then what was the point of paying all that money not to listen? A few other concert videos (especially ptx) where the crowd is so loud Mitch or Scott will say something and no one can hear them because of all the screaming.
Absolutely. I saw a video taken at one concert, I think in the Bahamas, where there were people shrieking all through the performance. It totally put me off the idea of going to a Pentatonix concert, if I had to sit next to someone screeching while I was trying to listen to the performance it would drive me mad. This gives me some hope that I could go to a performance and actually be able to enjoy it.
I have been to 4 of their shows, had a floor seat for the first one, and would get another of those. My husband, myself and a friend that came with are all “ vertically challenged” and everyone stood the whole time. I appreciate people sitting, so I can see too.😀
So glad you got to see them live. I was happy to hear the audience respected PTX not to screaming etc. I’m looking forward to seeing them when they come to their home town on 12/22.
I’ve been to 5 concerts, the one in Chicago last week was my first PTX Christmas concert. It was a lot quieter than the other ones. I think partly because there were a lot more families, the Christmas songs are of a different character than their original songs and covers of pop hits and I also think new Covid variant may have a lot to do with everyone singing and dancing less at big gatherings at the moment. I was lucky to sit close and their vocals crashing a body is the best remedy for anything that ails you. Honestly.
I’m glad you got to see them and hope you will get to see them on their regular show next time they are in town. Some in attendance are just overwhelmed or in awe that they are seeing them live or so caught up in the moment that they stand quiet and captivated scared to miss anything. Others party like it’s the last show they will ever see! 🤣 I was extremely upset when people stood up in front of my elderly mom and prevented her from seeing parts of the show or yelling to the extreme that those around could barely hear. It’s one thing when there’s huge sound coming from instruments or a DJ but Pentatonix deserves to be heard. I’m all for having fun and getting hyped during uptempo songs. People danced and had fun. We would all sing along to our favorite songs but there are some songs the audience just seem to ‘experience’. It varies in each city and I know the members feed off of the crowd’s energy. Also, their audience is quite diverse and respond according to what each person is accustomed to doing at shows. Their Christmas shows are fun and exciting but their other shows are more high energy. The wide range of ages is amazing as well. I hate when arenas have awful views or inconsistencies in sound quality. My mom still had a blast and so did I.
My feelings exactly. If you have a band of instruments that are drowning the audience sound, that is one thing. A Capella needs to be heard. To me, it's more like a Broadway show, you need to hear the voices. Been there done that at a Capella shows. Had the worst time when too much audience noise. Didn't enjoy it.
@@PJMurphyNJ I've been to two shows, the first our seats were around an older group and most of us just sat there soaking up the awesomeness of each song they had just performed so no we didn't stand and scream our heads off. The second one we were surrounded by much louder fans who made it impossible to hear the songs being sung and so, so many had to sing along and of course totally off key lol. People express joy in different ways so I understood why both of my experiences were so different but I will never regret being able to say I was in the same building as PTX twice! PS, sports stadiums are not the best acoustical building to attend a vocal group concert but PTX sound fantastical no matter where they perform.
@@larrygranbois4164 I love rowdy rock concerts, everything is so over modulated anyway, so it's just a big party atmosphere. When I go for shows that I want to hear the fineness of the vocals, I prefer quiet during the performance. The price of being entertained these days, you need to enjoy yourself. I do think the venues are to big for the true feel and sound of a Capella. It loses something. Been to many smaller venues where it sounds so much better. The largest I've been to that still produced that up close sound was Radio City Music Hall. Built for music, so there's that. Lol
I saw them in NJ last week. They were incredible. They brought me to tears on several songs, starting with Mary Did You Know. I did notice that they had a hard time with the sounds for The Prayer. It just didn’t mix right. You could barely hear Mitch. I can’t wait to see them again. It was an amazing experience and I’ll forever be thankful that I got to share that night with my kids.
I saw them years ago, when Avi was still there. It was a more subdued crowd since they knew to be quiet for the more intricate sounds they make. Any screaming could drown that out, unless they ask for interaction. Hope that helps answer that part. Sorry the sound wasn't great. I went to a small venue and the sound was really good, even though I think they hadn't been touring very long. Thanks for sharing! Everything looked amazing!
I think the crowd energy was definitely a Christmas concert situation. I’ve seen them live 4 times (5 this weekend!!) and one of them was Christmas and the energy is for sure different! 2 of them were outside in an amphitheater setting and they were ELECTRIC!
@Travis I’m so happy you got to experience them live! I’m in LA, so I was at their 2nd Christmas special taping, plus small crowd performances at Universal CityWalk, Anaheim, Microsoft Live, Orange County, and Santa Monica… once you go, you get addicted! They are so incredibly talented… and this show staging is gorgeous.
Thank you so much for this insight into a live performance. I agree entirely that Thank You was the highlight. Of course, it's made me tear up every time I have heard it since it came out last year. Hope it's still a thing in 20 years!
I’m so glad you got to see them live! I’ve been waiting to hear your reaction. Thank You is my favorite PTX Christmas song…thank you for filming & posting the whole song! About the standing up…I’m 5’1” & I hate it when people stand at concerts. Firstly, I can’t see anything, and secondly, I’m in my 70’s and don’t want to stand for a whole concert or sit and look at someone’s back and have the sound completely altered by the wall of people!! I also agree with some of the others in the comments that you don’t want noise at a PTX concert or you might miss something special. Anyway, I love you, love your reactions & so glad someone pointed you to PTX so you could join the ranks of the Pentaholics. Merry Christmas!! ❤️🎄🎉
Thank you for sharing all these beautiful clips. They’re absolutely amazing live. I’m delighted your dream came true to be at their concert. You got great clips to share. Loved 🥰 every minute x
Look, I love you, but I really want to say this, in the clips you put in the vid + the ones I saw here in RUclips... HELLO? MR. COBY GRASSI? Those runs on Joyfull Joyfull are the best. I'm loving that he's taking more breath and having his part of Hallelujah more in head voice because belting like that so many shows can be difficult. He's the best of changing registers in 0.01 secs. And of course, he's a master in being kind and grateful with the audience. It's sad to me that in many parts the audio of the concert put his harmonies in a very low volume, but when he sound, it's heaven. He is seriously the voice and the heart of the world. Matt always with a smile, same with the audio, sometimes we lost him, I hope the music engineer fix that, but it's so awesome see him so charming and entertaining, he's a great guy and a great bass for the band. Scott brings so many emotions to this tour and we love it, we really appreciate he being vulnerable. That range is amazing but I love that in this tour he's risky at some notes like always but no too much. I really enjoy him taking about his teenage years as a sport guy hahaha. Kirstin girl, this is maybe the best tour she has done, in the past she's a little bit inconsistent but I really love his voice in this one, more mature, more healthy, and more well place. Again, the sound engineer make her sound louder, but is not her problem. We really love this girl ad his talent. Last but NEVER LEAST, Kevin, the heart of gold. It's amazing how he never missed a beat. His speech about Leigh and his daughter before Evergreen was gorgeous. He brings so much energy, I really enjoy watch him being a brand new and best person everyday, he's so loving with the others. And... Wow he's the best at the cello like, really the best. We love him.
Wow even on a cellphone the pure clarity of Kirstie and Mitch's voices is stunning. It does sound like the mixes are off. Maybe they didn't have their full crew available? Things get crazy even with pro NFL games and COVID protocols these days.
@@alysiaschneider9346 I noticed it as well but it wasn't necessarily as obvious as the vocals. Just seemed like Kirstie was too forward. She was great but not blended in with the others.
I hear the same comments in Louisville. The sound was great where I was on the floor, but know a friend of a friend who said where they were the sound was too loud. Louisville was a little emotional because of the tornadoes the night before. PTX had a sign that said the some of the Louisville concert proceeds would go to tornado relief. Kevin talked about some of the damaged areas were near where he was from. I was surrounded by die-hard fans (the band specifically recognized some of them). I was just happy that the couple in front of us sat down sometimes, so I could too. My videos was too jerky as I was jumping around too much. My daughter said I spent the whole concert shouting “ I love you.” LOL.
Might have been just because it's a Christmas concert and it's harder to get a party atmosphere. Just my opinion though. Still very jealous that you got to see them live!
Watching this is making me soooooooooo excited to see them this wknd! We have 10th row floor seats and I cannot wait!! So happy that you were able to see them live and thank you so much for sharing your experience with us!! #pentaholicforever
Thank you for sharing your videos from the concert. The sound quality of your videos is great. It's nice that your camera picked up the great performances even if the sound in the arena was not great. "Thank You" was stunning. I see why it was your fav.
Thank you for your review! I love your PTX journey and am happy for you that you could experience them live 🥰 shame that the venue wasn’t that good in sound quality but I’m happy that you recognized that it’s the venue and not the band. Next year in April I will have my first PTX live performance 🥳 will visit 4 shows of their Europe Tour. I can’t wait 😵💫 merry Christmas to you and keep up the nice videos, I really enjoy them 🥰 greetings from Germany!
I went to a Christmas concert in 2018 in a 6000 seat arena in Grand Prairie between Dallas and Fort Worth. Seems like a lifetime ago since it was pre covid. It was a great show. The venue was built for concerts and musicals so the acoustics and sound were great. The crowd was also quieter compared to other shows I have been too. I think it is because PTX experience is about the voices. It is not about the instruments, the laser show or how loud it can be. I think that means the crowd is quieter so they can hear every sound. Also maybe we forgot how to act a little crazy at a show.
Oh Travis I am so sorry to hear that your experience was less-than-perfect. I was so psyched for you counting down the weeks with you. I love Pentatonix right along with you it's just a shame that they weren't able to have a building that enhanced their gorgeous voices. Better luck to you next time my friend.
AHH! I got to see them on this tour a couple weeks ago. It was AMAZING!!!!! The off-mic encore of "My Heart with You" .... so stunning. Your recordings sound great despite being farther away. I agree that arenas aren't best for a group like this. That said, I was so thrilled that the sound where we saw them was as good as it was. I'd LOVE to see them in a small theater. OMG, I'd probably pay $$$$$ for that and eat ramen for a year.
Thanks for sharing your PTX-live videos. 🥰I miss Avi, even though Matt is also a great singer and a very likeable (and handsome) person. But especially in live performances I miss Avi's way of singing and his personality.
I’ve made it on time! Tonsillitis and all. So looking forward to seeing this. I’m so jealous you got to see them live. We might be back in lockdown soon, so have to enjoy it vicariously through you! Agree with you fav performance! Beautiful! 🏴❣️
People complained, after seeing prior concerts, about others standing. They had paid lots of money for front row seating to have their view blocked. As you know, Midwestern folks are more conservative. When seeing videos of other concerts, people looked mesmerized! Lots of the "girls" said they were crying. That would be me! Always look for your reactions!
I agree with your comments about the sound system at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. I was also in the 100 level and felt it was way too loud for me. The overall show was awesome, however -- they are excellent entertainers. I find I enjoy watching their videos and watching your (and others) reaction to their videos. I was impressed with their encore performance of "My Heart With You" .
Hi Travis! I'm so happy you got to experience PTX live in concert. Okay, there were some issues, but, just to be there in the same room with such GREATNESS is something I know you will treasure for a long time. Like you said, there were sound/crowd issues, and I'm sure being in such a large venue, the sound issue probably is to be expected. I saw them fiddling (most notably Kirstie during "Hallelujah" on the big screen) with their ear pieces, so perhaps they had trouble hearing each other which could be why their pitch and timing was off in places. Overall, they sounded amazing to me. You did a fabulous job capturing it with your phone! I need to THANK YOU, Travis, for my Christmas present!! Your phone captured incredible footage and sound...not blurry, not shaky. And as one who is not able to go see them live, and who absolutely LOVES their song "Thank You," you recorded the one song that means so very much to me, from start to finish. I cried like a baby watching your recording. Their performance was beautiful and so moving (Scott on the piano...Kevin on the cello). I almost felt like I was there in the room with them and they were singing it just for me. So, thank you so so much!! I know you did enjoy the concert despite the issues you mentioned. I heard your trademark "YES!!!" a few times in the background. How did you come to find out that Scott saw your Instagram story? I am not on Instagram, Facebook, Zoom...anything other than RUclips...so I don't know to what you are referring, but I'm just curious to know how you know Scott saw it. Anyway, again, I'm so glad you got to go see and enjoy them in person, and thanks for my gift! MERRY CHRISTMAS to YOU and YOURS!!... See you around RUclips and Patreon!! I love you so much for being YOU...with, and for, all of us!!!
So glad you got to see Pentatonix live 😊 We’ll never forget our night with Pentatonix November 30. The set/lighting was so stunning and their choice of outfits impeccable. I agree that Kirstie’s voice was so on point and it was such a pleasure hearing Matt and experiencing his energetic stage presence. I truly enjoyed seeing Mitch so happy and hearing Kevin talk about his family. Scott’s performance of Thank You was magical. 🎶💕🌈
I can't watch this til next week. I'm not seeing them live, but bought a ticket for the digital concert on the 19th. So I have been steering clear until I see it and then I'll watch all the concert stuff. I'm sure you had fun.😎
I bought 6 six seats on the 5th row, just right of center (right meaning right looking towards the stage). They cost $350 each, but that was fine with me as I don't get this opportunity often and I've saved a fortune in entertainment and dining expenses due to Covid. I will, however, be very disappointed if the acoustics suck. I'm seeing them in their home town-I'm shamelessly hoping that they will make sure that their performance in their HOME TERRITORY will be perfect in terms of sound quality! Thanks so much for your input. No matter what, forewarned is forearmed.
Hey Travis! Thank you for sharing this with us. Wow!. The concert looked so great. Thank you for sharing these clips. Thank you for sending us text messages while you were there.....we were happy to be with you virtually! It was so exciting.
I have been to three concerts, and for the most part, people were quiet during the singing, but was loud in between songs. I am so happy that you were able to attend and enjoyed yourself, and thanks for sharing your clips. Honestly, the audio sounds really good from your phone, so there is that.
Your video and pictures were great. The view was perfect. I've seen video from people sitting in front and you could only see part of the stage. I'm glad you were able to see them and hopefully the next time you'll be a much better experience with the crowd and venue.
I'm so jealous!!!! I researched any tour dates near my area (I'm in Utah) and I don't even see any in Denver!!!! (sad face)......not giving up, if I have to visit my sis in TX to go see them I totally will :) Glad you got to go - thanks for sharing this!!!!!
Travis, I'm so glad that you said you want to see them again! I have been to 13 of their concerts and most of them have been a PARTY! None of those concerts have been a Christmas show though. I wonder why it was such a lame crowd. Sad! Give it another shot! It will definitely be worth it. The pit is ALWAYS my favorite. 😁
I am so happy you got to see them live. I saw them in 2018 best concert ever. People that don't believe they do things just vocally need to see a live show.
I am so glad you got to see them!! I went to the Louisville one (The concert before yours) I've seen them many times but never the Christmas one. Definitely didn't disappoint, I thought they all sounded amazing but was kinda wondering if Mitch is getting a cold or something. (He still sounded flawless but felt like his vocals were kinda strained/lower register) But again absolutely amazing concert! And also PTX concerts most of the time we're in our seats listening to the amazing vocals that are gracing us. Sometimes they'll get up and dance and shout but for the most part we're respectful and giving them the silence they deserve. :)
Thank you so much for sharing your videos 🥰🥰 I don’t know if I will ever be able to see them live down here in Perth, Western Australia. So this truly made my day xx.
Oh you got some great clips! And I'm glad you enjoyed it despite the issues. So in years past they would be able to actually go down into the audience to dance around and engage. Also the Christmas concert brings out people who might not even be big PTX fans, just people who want to go to a holiday concert. 🤷
I saw them at Shoreline Amphitheater her in California and the sound was absolutely incredible. I have been to other venues in this area and they were ....eh! I understand completely how you feel. I have been to quite a few concerts in my ehem....55 years and PTX was the best by far!
In 2019 I saw them twice in an arena and once in a theater that held less than 2,500. The Christmas concert in the smaller theater had far better sound because it was built for musical performances. It's going to be an issue for them going forward be a use they've outgrown the smaller performance venues that are set up for better sound, and for an a cappella group sound is so important.
Point taken, but I saw them perform at American Airlines center in Dallas, which is a 20K venue, and it was pretty much sold out. They sounded INCREDIBLE, so I'm wondering about this. It's possible that some venues don't have quality equipment or are designed in a way that makes acoustics less than stellar?
Also, keep in mind that they were used to back to back performances for the majority of their 10 year career, and the pandemic has probably affected their initial return… but they will warm it up and get 100% again!
@@anissat-tech I'm not saying anything negative about their performance or vocal abilities. They sang great every time I saw them. I'm only speaking on the sound quality in the smaller venues versus the larger arenas.
Hey Travis, my sister and I were there Sunday night. We live here in Columbus and I live just 3 blocks from Nationwide Arena. I agree with you about the sound system. The arena was built for the Blue Jackets ice hockey team. I think the sound system is more suited for a hockey game or rock concert. Not for an acapella group. Maybe a smaller venue would be better. It was too loud and created a distortion that often overpowered their singing. We were on the opposite side from you Floor section 6, Row Q, seats 13-14, but with everyone standing we asked an usher if we could move to some empty seats next to us 3rd row up in the stands. My sister is only 5'2", so she could actually see without having to watch it on the screens. We still enjoyed them despite the sound issues.
After reading a lot of the comments here, I have come to the conclusion that PTX should have 2 concerts at every venue- one would be a party concert for people to dance, sing and scream ( which I’m sure gets the band members hyped), and the other for people who just want to sit and hear every nuance of their perfect harmonies, clapping/cheering only at the end of songs, singing when invited and dancing only on the lively numbers. Plus, their whirlwind travel would be cut back a bit to let them relax. Agreed? Let’s pitch it to them!
Thank you Travis for this video! So great, that you included Joy to the world, I've never heard this live yet! 😁 And a huge thank you 😉 for the whole Thank you recording. OMG, this is also one of my favorites ever ♥️ Seeing Scott at the piano with all those stars around him is just mesmerizing, I couldn't take my eyes of him for the whole song and also I think I barely took a breath while listening to it. Wow, seeing and hearing it live must have been so much more emotional ♥️
I was there also, I think their Xmas concerts are always more tame. I was in the 100 section but had no problem with the sound system. It was definitely better than in this video.
The venue forbid people to stand up and yell due to covid rules. But in the end ptx said stand up people (joyful joyful). In case it might interest you: I have the full evergreen experience concert x
Looked fab! I'm going to see them next year in Manchester, England and can't wait. The gig has been postponed once but they are worth waiting for. Always enjoy your reactions. Love from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 ❤
What they do isn't really designed for an arena, as much as they tweak, so I'm often shocked they even get the results they do. They probably have to battle local unions too, to set the sound system up.
I agree re venue design. As much as I can appreciate their desire to accommodate as many fans as possible in any one city, and as many cities as possible in any one tour, a theatre with acoustics designed for music would be better all around. Therefore I wish they could a few smaller shows in each city at a time . I think an audience also gets to feel more directly engaged in a smaller venue without dancing in the aisles. But they probably can't accommodate anywhere near the number of fans wanting to hear them live using this method. Another option some musicians have taken is to cut arena occupancy in half so more of the seats are "good ones."
Thank you for sharing your experience at the concert!! When I saw them in 2017 in New Oleans it was at a college in a large theater. And the acoustics were amazing!!! But that Is the difference between a theater and an arena… The acoustics are going to be night and day different. And an Acappella group needs a space that is going to give them the best acoustics… In my humble opinion.♥️. Everyone was singing to every song and it was awesome!! I hope you were able to enjoy the concert in spite of the drawback! 🙏🏻😘
Isn’t it great that they are great or better? when you see them perform live. I am so impressed by their talent and your clips sound and look great, thanks for sharing 🤩 maybe a next concert with their regular music will have more reaction and craziness from the audience. When I saw them, all of us where crazy shouting, crying and singing 😆🤩
Sounded good to me. You did a great job recording. Been looking forward to your take. Ptx wont always get a venue thats top notch quality, dont let it get you down. I heard every voice, it sounded great!
Valid points Travis. Hope you enjoyed it for the most part. Shame they couldn't be more grateful. I can't get to see them in the UK next year as they are sold out and only doing 2 gigs here. Keep it up, love your reactions and look out for them every day 😃👍❤️. Merry Christmas from England 🎄🎁
Travis, congrats on being able to see them in person. I so wanted to be at that concert, but coulfdn’t really afford it and didn’t have transportation. It’s only about an hour to get there from Dayton, so it was on my mind all evening. You can bet I’ll be watching the virtual concert on the 19th. Looking forward to it although you won’t be There!
Looks like it was a thrill to see them. May be next time they're in OH maybe see them at a different venue like The Fraze or The Nutter Center or KY if thats closer. I would let the arena you attended know how badly the sound quality was. If they dont know they cant fix it. Your pictures were awesome thanks for sharing.
I was planning on going to their concert but decided against it because I can't stand for a long time (neither can my daughter). The thought of paying $250.00-1000.00 in the first 20 rows and not being able to see because of people standing up would make me mad. And yes I have been to a few concerts so I am aware that standing is done but usually those concerts have been performed in stadiums. However I am glad that you got to see them perform.
Maybe the lack of crowd enthusiasm is because it's a Christmas concert. 🤷♀️ I saw them live years ago. Absolutely amazing and so much crowd energy. Maybe catch their next regular tour for a redo!
I so agree! "Sitting quietly and applauding only at the end" sounds like perfect behavior to me.
True. Nothing ruins a concert more than screaming girls, or the off key singing of some dude sitting behind you..
I'm with you. If I'd had to listen through screams the entire show, I'd have been SO angry.
Love Scott's "Thank You" as well! So beautiful! And I love his piano playing.
I appreciate people sitting, so I can see too.😀
The most anticipated video of the year!! I would have lost it hearing "Thank You" live. It already makes me cry everytime.
So glad you got to see them live. I was happy to hear the audience respected PTX not to screaming etc. I’m looking forward to seeing them when they come to their home town on 12/22.

❤❤❤❤
Sorry for my English. I speak spanish🙏🏻
I think they should start with joyful joyful to get the crows pumped
I’m glad you got to see them and hope you will get to see them on their regular show next time they are in town.
Some in attendance are just overwhelmed or in awe that they are seeing them live or so caught up in the moment that they stand quiet and captivated scared to miss anything. Others party like it’s the last show they will ever see! 🤣 I was extremely upset when people stood up in front of my elderly mom and prevented her from seeing parts of the show or yelling to the extreme that those around could barely hear.
Lol
We’ve been to 4 PTX concerts. Completely different when you go to a respectable Christmas concert!❤️
I agree it was the “Christmas show”. I’ve seen them 4 times, and only one was Christmas. It was the same almost “formal” buttoned up vibe
Probably more families, older people and casual non fans just going for a christmas show so that makes sense!
Thank you so much for this insight into a live performance. I agree entirely that Thank You was the highlight. Of course, it's made me tear up every time I have heard it since it came out last year. Hope it's still a thing in 20 years!
My mom and I were at this show as well…….loved it! The encore song blew me away!!!!
I was there and was in awe of them. It was an amazing show!
Sure, make me get all teary eyed again watching Thank You! 😢😊
Thank You... good on you, Scott. Mitch was great 💞
I can’t wait to see them on Saturday!!
Wow even on a cellphone the pure clarity of Kirstie and Mitch's voices is stunning. It does sound like the mixes are off. Maybe they didn't have their full crew available? Things get crazy even with pro NFL games and COVID protocols these days.
Right ?!
It was the same in KY Saturday night. Mixes sounded off but I had a blast
@@alysiaschneider9346 I thought the same thing, it was amazing but the mix wasn't right.
@@jeniferrosenberger827 did you notice the video guys timing off too?
Thank you, Travis, for sharing your experience.
You should react to their version of The First Noel! It's the most beautiful version of that song ever!
I love them live!! I’ve been to several of their concerts. They get better every year. Truly amazing
My hubby and I were there! Floor seats, Z. It was awesome!
Thanks for sharing your PTX-live videos. 🥰I miss Avi, even though Matt is also a great singer and a very likeable (and handsome) person. But especially in live performances I miss Avi's way of singing and his personality.
I am so excited to see them on Saturday in Minnesota. This will be my first PTX concert.
So amazing! I hope one day to get to see them live. I love how Matt made his Hallelujah solo his own 💜
I’ve made it on time! Tonsillitis and all. So looking forward to seeing this. I’m so jealous you got to see them live. We might be back in lockdown soon, so have to enjoy it vicariously through you!
Agree with you fav performance! Beautiful! 🏴❣️
So glad you had such a good time! I'm SO jealous!
Ahhh I want to see them live so bad!!!
I felt the same way at their Dec 4 concert in CT, the sound system was way too loud. It takes away from the nuances / finesse of their vocals.
I saw them in Hershey on the 9th. So great!!! It was awesome
Thank you ! Your words mean a lot ! I’m glad you enjoyed the footage ! Merry Christmas to you !
I’m so ready to hear all about it! I took my mom to see them a few years ago and she was over the moon. They are phenomenal!
You are so lucky! I wish I could see them!
So happy you were able to see Pentatonix live in concert! Thanks for posting these clips! 🥰️
Next concert you gotta come with me and my friend cause we get hype and we have a great time
Hey Travis! Thank you for sharing this with us. Wow!. The concert looked so great. Thank you for sharing these clips. Thank you for sending us text messages while you were there.....we were happy to be with you virtually! It was so exciting.
Travis - I was there also! But I was in the 3rd row, from your seat, on the left side of the stage.
I have been to three concerts, and for the most part, people were quiet during the singing, but was loud in between songs. I am so happy that you were able to attend and enjoyed yourself, and thanks for sharing your clips. Honestly, the audio sounds really good from your phone, so there is that.
I was going to comment on that…sorry it was too loud for you personally, but your phone LOVED it…PERFECT!!! It’s one of the best vids
Oops, big fingers, I was going to say…”One of, if not, the best vid I’ve seen)! Congrats on getting to see them!!!
I'm glad you had a good time overall. I've seen them 3 times live, and thankfully all 3 venues were good. 💗
In Louisville we were up and dancing almost the whole concert. Except the somber songs
that is what Pentatonix said
Travis, I'm so glad that you said you want to see them again! I have been to 13 of their concerts and most of them have been a PARTY! None of those concerts have been a Christmas show though. I wonder why it was such a lame crowd. Sad! Give it another shot! It will definitely be worth it. The pit is ALWAYS my favorite. 😁
So glad you got to see them!!! You got some great footage💛
You also have to realize that a
Lot of the arenas they play in are
Not primarily for music but sports. So the sound quality is not as important.😦
Agree wholeheartedly
I think maybe if people want a more subdued performance they should perform theaters and not giant arenas or stadiums 🤷🏻♂️
Thanx a million for sharing your thoughts and some snippets of the show! I've been waiting for this one 🤩
Thank you for sharing your experience. I will be seeing them for the first time on 12/15.
Im glad you enjoyed it.
🥰🎶🎙
Yes! I've been waiting for this Travis!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING! 😃
Sounded good to me. You did a great job recording. Been looking forward to your take. Ptx wont always get a venue thats top notch quality, dont let it get you down. I heard every voice, it sounded great!
I can't wait! Glad you got to see them live, Travis. Thursday is coming. I really hope the sound is better. It does sound distorted.
By the way Happy birthday!
I was there also 2nd level to the right of stage was AMAZING
I am happy for you that you were finally there. Thank you for sharing this with us 🙂🤗
Awesome footage Travis
I have so been waiting for your take on their concert!! Thanks for the clips! Vickie from SE Pa
so glad you got to see them! and your phone took great footage! :)
Come to Pittsburgh next time and party, sing and dance with us!!!
Maybe the lack of crowd enthusiasm is because it's a Christmas concert. 🤷♀️ I saw them live years ago. Absolutely amazing and so much crowd energy. Maybe catch their next regular tour for a redo!
