This was a fantastic fic! I love the creative liberties and the different abilities the characters had in the story. I also love the idea that Janus is the Dragon witch’s son.

Yeah, it's best to do what they did and go for someone who feels alone and unloved. That's free real state. It's how cults/religions grow. They are lost and need to found their way home, you show them it's with you. Give them a home, a family, a purpose; that they never had; and their a lot less likely to run away. What would they run too, as you give them everything that the outside world never did; without you they are nothing and have no one. But make sure to show and not tell as that could be seen as abusive/toxic which people don't like and have a tendency to run from with high levels of fear and bravery. As long as they feel safe, loved, and appreciated then it should fine. But definitely keep the door locked and possible weapons away reach while developing a repo so they have time to feel these things, as they will not in the beginning, so be careful and patient. Ok ok O K Just picked this up my fourth time listening. "The way the s was drawn out" is used at the beginning of the book and the end, when Janus exists someplace Logan wasn't expecting him to. The first time it feels dangerous and foreboding and scary. But then at the end it's much more homely and safe. Was that technically a writing note and not a reading note? Yes. Do I want to point it out anyways? Also yes.
I haven't read all of the Sherlock stories yet, though it is on my reading list. This was actually based off of a Tumblr post about the villain adopting the hero after their companions never came for them.
