LaMelo Ball has been hurt almost his entire career and people still respect his game and his value. So can someone please explain to me why Mitchell Robinson who is probably the best offensive rebounder in the league, has averaged 70% from the field for his career, and is the only player to shut down Joel Embiid the way he did in the first round last year, gets absolutely no respect?… The Knicks will be fine during the regular season with the rotation they have right now, but if we do not have Robinson’s offensive rebounding and rim protection in the playoffs, we are going to get cooked. Our record with Robinson in the playoffs last year was 6-2, without him it was 2-4… the fact that so many people are clamoring for us to trade such an elite defender when his value is as low as it could possibly be, is insane to me. It’s crazy how many people consider themselves basketball fans, but have absolutely zero respect or appreciation for the importance of defense.
