Russian Stealth

This Russian documentary describes the development of the Physical Theory of Diffraction by Petr Ufimtsev. After its discovery and machine translation by the Foreign Technology Division (now National Air and Space Technology Centter), and examination by Lockheed-Martin, PTD became the design tool for the development of the Stealth Fighter (F-117). Having worked in the FTD Low Observables Office I was honored to have had the opportunity to translate an update to his monograph in 2001. The documentary aired on Russian TV around 2005.
