Salam brother I watched a video of you saying nasheeds are haram but there’s one in the beginning of your video..can you please clarify to me..jazak’Allah
Assalamu alaykum, to clarify what you said. What is played in the beginning is not the a nasheed. Rather it’s a recitation by Ustaz Abdurahman of laamiyyah, which is a poem about aqeedah written by shaykul Islam ibn taymiyah. May Allah forgive us for our shortcomings
Nasheeds are [makruh] because they are tied to music and also they are associated with deviant Sufism. If you want to stay close to Allah, you should engage in [zikr].
Nasheed that use no harmonies or musical instruments, are just a simple, slightly melodic recitation of poetry, that is the classic definition of nasheed, and it’s not haram when the meaning is good. “Nasheed” according to the new usage, is just songs with music, or so much harmony that it sounds like instruments. Beware of the rebranding of haram things
@@Beneficial-Radish What is "the meaning is good"? Please provide instances of "nasheed" with the Prophet and his companions. Truth be told, "nasheed" as we hear it nowadays is culture-based from the Indian subcontinent. The Arabic poetic tradition is melodic recitation, with specific tropes and prohibition of trance-like outcomes.
