- The late great Sir Roger Moore's favourite non Bond movie was not as successful as it should have been owing to a lack of professional marketing. However the movies composer Michael J Lewis wrote such a memorable theme for the film, that the music legend that is Alan Moorhouse did this fantastic vocal cover of his theme. Enjoy.
Very much underated by far his best film to date
Watching this film right now on The Legend channel. Such a great film and really sad at the end. I think Roger Moore himself said how underrated this film was.
Hi , I'm here too because I watched it on Legend as well today. I got it on DVD as well.
@@thecelticdruid7707 Ah, brilliant! I don't have it on dvd sadly, but would love to get it. :)
@@cherylrowlands4998 it's available on Amazon and eBay, that's where I got it from.

As a kid this was one of my favourites films, plus this music has stayed with me 2024.
So sad. I don't think I've seen this film for thirty years. Never forgot this music. Thanks so much.
I grew up watching Roger Moore in the James Bond movies but had never heard of the 'Man who hunted himself' until it was shown on TV last year. Brilliant movie story, and acting. An the music you just want to listen to it again and again. Those were the best decades.
Sir Roger Moore at his best !!! God Rest !!!!
Roger Moore said it was the only movie he was ever really able and encouraged to act his best
@@jeffmilner8740 Yes you are totally correct !! Bang on he loved making this film !!!!
Very nice! Without doubt one of the best films Roger Moore did. The score by Lewis was outstanding and the main theme far better than this (cover) version, which is only heard briefly in the film.
great music .also department s the champions randle and hopkirk .
Thanks mate ,
Finally able to download..one of the best ever, and a tribute to Alan Moorehouse Orchestra
In the film this version is heard as source music - played briefly on a record deck.
Really, I need to watch this again, its on 81 quite a lot.
Yes was on quite recently.
I would love this on a new vinyl remake
a good symphony be better
Love to red the lyrics
Michael J. Lewis is one of the greatest composers ever. Almost impossible question to answer I'd suppose, but anyone know who is doing the incredible female vocal on this?
I used to think maybe it was Barbara Moore, but I am going to have to do a bit of research to see if I can find out anything on this vocal. I agree Lewis music is superb, my favourite being Theatre Of Blood. Cheers Lynford.
@@bondbrookebond Thanks! Let me know if you find anything...
@@bondbrookebond Just watching The Man Who Haunted Himself on the Legend Channel. One of my favourite films. Did you find anything out?
@@cherylrowlands4998 @lynfordcasting7461 Sorry I meant to reply some years ago now, must have slipped my mind, I don't think it was Barbara after all, I think it would have been more publicised and there is no mention anywhere who was involved. I guess the only connection she had with a production that Roger Moore was in was The Saint, and its common knowledge that she sang on that cult theme.
@@bondbrookebond Aw, no worries. I was just wondering out of interest. Thanks for responding.
The ONLY movie that Roger Moore was really proud of because it's the one that he really acted in.... His words, not mine
But I'm Pelham!
Do you really think I would wear a suit like that? Get rid of him, Luigi!
No I'm pelham
Darn good motorcars 👍
I can't find the lyrics
I cannot download this track???
How will he fit his family in new car🙄
