Well I’m not finished but I’ve only been able to not cry until like page 60 Edit: Guess who just finished! The amount of emotions this book has slapped me through seems impossible, but here I am, crying my eyes out
I was scared to watch or read reviews of this book, because I didn't want anyone to ruin how I feel about it, but your review is like some sort of therapy because honestly: Same. SAME! (I'm still not over it; I doubt I ever will be)
Believe me, I do. I am currently suffering from the most severe book hangover since finishing 'Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe' a few months back; I don't know what to do with myself :')
Im Half way through the book..AND IM SCARED TO EVEN TURN A PAGE NOW. I dont want to see them die..I Grew so attached to the characters T~T **2 hours later** I just finished it...I NEED MOOORE BOOKS LIKE THISSS NOWWW
You should read “What if it is us” it’s by the same person who wrote they both die at the end it’s about these two boys who fall in love I didn’t finish it but I love the book so far
I totally agree, READ THIS BOOK IT'S SOOOOO GOOD AND WONDERFUL THE CHARACTERS ARE WONDERFUL AND UGHHH THAT ENDING BREAKS MY HEART ADAM SILVERA ALMOST MADE ME CRY ON MY SCHOOL BUS READING IT IT'S SO TOUCHING. oKay enough haha Ashley your make up is so well done! amazing video
I am not a crier towards books but damn I was dead inside after I finished this, the last line of the book destroyed me.When I finish this I cried for a solid 10 minutes then walked down stairs and my mom looked all concerned at me and asked what’s wrong. I forced her to read it and then she walked into my room at 1 in the morning to wake me up and tell me she finished the book while crying her eyes out. This is definitely a contender for best book I’ve ever read.
I was devastated at the end of this book. Like, I know how it ended: it's written on the frickin title! Hahaha.. But I guess that's part of the charm of this book; at first, you're like "Okay Mateo and Roof received the Death Cast call, so what?" but as you go through their journey, you love both of them more - especially when they're together - that you're wishing the title as misleading. Yet you're very curious on how they are gonna die. By the way, I found a PERFECT song for this book. It's written in Filipino, but the song basically tells about two lovers' last night. Like they don't want tomorrow to come. If you're interested, I can send the rough English translation to appreciate it more, but the music itself tells you everything. ruclips.net/video/B3_vgVVgono/видео.html
@@kailawkamo1568 right?!?!?! I badly want HBO to reach out for Moira and Quest and ask them to translate the song in English. Like it's the PERFECT song for this book. It never fails to make me cry whenever I listen to that song and imagine Mateo and Roof. 😭😭😭😍😍
"the sad train" IKR!? I just finished the book, and it is hauntingly beautiful. I can't think of anything to comment, because my heart still hurts. I just finished it like 30mins ago! Oh my God, this hurts, but I'm glad that i read it.
i can't believe it happened like that. i was expecting so many other deaths but not that one (the Matteo one). it came out of nowhere but when it happened it made so much sense and at the same time it didn't came out of nowhere which was awesome and f*cking infuriating too
@@higorlelles Eemm.. no. She literally says she was hoping they didn't die and that throughout the whole novel she believes the ending would be different.
I listened to the audiobook at work throughout the week and I reached the end whike still working and it took so much to not sob at my desk because it was so sad and beautiful and heartwrenching
I finished it last saturday and boy it gave me so much feels! Specially the time where they sang American Pie! I was reading that scene while I was riding on a jeepney and I really told myself to not cry.. Coz it would be weird if just cry in front of strangers.. This books is really a wonderful book, easy to read. 100/100 A Must read book! 👍👍👍👍
SMALL SPOILER I convinced myself the would die together, at the same time, peacefully. I texted my friend and she basically said “the author didn’t trick you. You convinced yourself that’s how it was going to happen” (a thank you to her for calling me out on my bs) and my mom was like “I don’t know what to say, sweetheart! It’s in the title!” While I was just ugly crying. I thought maybe the title was the a trick. Maybe they were going to survive. And. They. Didn’t. 😭
This book haunts you. It stays with you. There were times where I thought, maybe there is a way to get cheat the system. Maybe the call was meant to Mateo's father, since they share the same name. Or maybe Mateo was jr was the one in the hospital in a coma, and dreamt this whole story, which then inspires him to go out and live life, like it's the last of it. It is interesting though that the pretty much from the start, Adam tells you how they both might die, especially Ruffus.
I JUST FINISHED READING THIS BOOK A FEW MOMENTS AGO. IM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO TALK ABOUT IT COZ IM SO EMOTIONAL RIGHT NOW, THEN I FOUND THIS VID. GIIIIRLLLLLL. MATE AND RUFUS HAS GROWN ON ME ALREADY. THEY DESERVE BETTER. I LOVE THEM BOTH.
📚 Finished "They Both Die at the End" by Adam Silvera about two months ago, and WOW! 😭 This heart-wrenching YA novel explores life, love, and friendship in a world where you know your death day. Even though the title hints at the ending, the journey is incredibly moving. 💔 Rufus and Mateo's story makes you think, "What if we had more time?" ⏰️ Reminds us to cherish every moment, embrace love and friendship, and live life to the fullest. Highly recommend!
just finished it! i may or may not have cried a bit...

I love how the review says "spoiler free" and the first thing I hear is a spoiler. Thank you for letting me know the will actually die!
But... have you read the title of the book? It literally says "they both die at the end"... you don't need a high IQ lvl to get it.

@@Malena711 But it doesn't make it a spoiler!! It just proves she has a beautiful and silly heart!!
@@higorlelles 🤔🤨
@@higorlelles Technically, it's kind off a spoiler since some people could easily think that the title is there to subvert expectations.
finally a spoiler free review im soooo excited but i wanna finish two other books before i start this one I CANT WAITT
