Funny video, Max, as always. It's the best way to learn. Good point about the explanations of scissors and string / rope. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! ;)
I was watching Learn English with Let's Talk - Free English Lessons and saw your comment. Then I checked out your channel. This is the video from you I saw EVER! And, I found it very useful, like your natural taking way. I appreciate this video very much. At least I found a perfect teacher. Happy new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Hi dear teacher, Just received this lesson today from RUclips Notifications,I didn’t know it had been uploaded three years ago. Anyway, your DIY Christmas tree looked so strange to me hehehe…I have this lesson in July( summer in the USA and winter in Australia!),so I cannot say Merry Christmas to you but only Have a great one, cute teacher! Love from the USA
Good question! "Cut" and "cut out" mean slightly different things. "Cut" is what I did to the ribbon. Some other examples: I accidentally cut myself with the knife. My hair is too long - I need to cut it. I cut the string to open the package. "Cut out" is a bit like extract or remove. For example, if you want to make some clothes, you need to trace the pattern onto the material, then cut out the pieces of material you need. Or you could say: The surgeon cut out the tumour. Does that make sense?
Hi Max, Thanks for the lesson. Why it's said "there is method in the madness" without an article "a" before method? As far I guess, method is a countable noun, so it requires an article before it, innit? Please explain. Regards, Ahmad,
Your vedios was very helpful so please make more vedios on about. The craft bcz I m Drawing teacher so it's really helpful if u make more vedios about drawing how to explain to other Like craft
Hi, Max. Ahhhhhmm, I can tell your skills about craft were kind of interesting.; but the intention is what counts, isn't it?. Besides we're here to learn English, not crafts. I'm kidding!.As everyone here, I also wish Christmas wrap you pleasantly next to the ones you love the most. Cuidate mucho!
So...I Mean, this is a bit too elementary even for elementary students. But, what gets me is your language. It's in such poor taste to swear like that over simple dropping sequins or realizing that your craft looks bad. Will not subscribe. Shame.
Your pronunciation is awesome 😊 thanks.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Max.
Thanks, Long! Same to you!

I have a question for you. If simply I say cut,is a error?or obligatory I do have to say cut it out?
Good question! "Cut" and "cut out" mean slightly different things. "Cut" is what I did to the ribbon. Some other examples:
I accidentally cut myself with the knife.
My hair is too long - I need to cut it.

Does that make sense?
"Cut it out!!" can also mean : "Stop it!!" like in : "Stop doing this!!"
English with Max thank you so much for replied.
Tikus241, yes, like many/most phrasal verbs, it has more than one meaning!

Apparently there really is summer down under, you have nice tan.

Hi Max,
Thanks for the lesson.

Ahmad,
Nice observation. 😉
Method can actually be countable or uncountable. See definitions 2 & 3:
