The look on the Senator's faces and look of fear after the Lobbyist told him who he was, I never get tried of when stuff like that happens, Red is such a badass
I couldn't tell you what the #1 wanted person right now is. The people in power, real power know exactly who Red is though. I enjoyed how you could tell who had the power by who recognized Red. The senator didn't know but his lobbyist friend knew right away.
Better than Bourne, the only reason I wished I lived in America or was able to visit regularly, would be to watch The Blacklist primetime. Oh, and to see USS Texas at the San Jacinto battlefield.
As a resident of Texas I can say the San Jacinto battlefield is one of those things that is worth the wait. The USS Texas is too, but it might just a bit of prejudice on my part considering the name of that historic and exquisite vessel.
@@carterfrost4138 You have every right to be prejudiced, USS Texas is a magnificent vessel. We have Nelson's Victory and HMS Warrior just down the road from me in Portsmouth, but only a pair of 15" guns at the Imperial War Museum, a few shells and breeches from 15" guns and the odd artefact from our Dreadnought battleships. The final Dreadnought, HMS Iron Duke was at Scapa Flow until 1947, minus two turrets, and then she was scrapped. A criminal act. To have a British dreadnought still intact would be fantastic, I envy you. (There is the Mikasa in Japan of course but she's a pre-dreadnought)
I gotta wonder what the other guy whispered. Something like: you'd better re-think your attitude, that's THE Raymond Reddington and he doesn't seem in the mood.
The Blacklist will return to NBC for Season 10, but the network is changing things up again, so fans will have to wait a while. - allegedly. 9 seasons already? Crikey. Some Americans take convincing don't they? I stopped at Alan Shore see? Swim A Shore? I often do and did.

He refused to play the Hollywood politics game and preferred quirky independent type movies. He has done well with this show plus several others. He will be beginning the 10th season on BL, very few shows have such a long run and he is one of the highest paid actors in a reoccurring role.
@@mtngrl5859 I’d say that James Spader has had a successful career as an actor. He has work that he enjoys doing and he gets to do his job without compromising his principles. If only more of us could be in such a position😊
@@chinavaughan6383 I agree. However, there is a status between being a TV star vs being a film actor. The kinds of films he prefers to make pay relatively poorly, so his TV roles have given him the income for a desirable lifestyle while he can pursue the roles he likes. I'm not referring to his role in The Avengers but more of the niche type roles he has played in other films. Also, some of the best writing is now in TV, the shift has been coming for years. One can see with HBO and The Gilded Age, that high production values exist at a more enhanced level now. James Spader has spoken to this in multiple interviews, so this is based on interviews he has given. I have said this before and will say it again, James Spader is one of the most underrated actors out there.
He’s not underrated though
Underrated? No.
Underused? Yes.
And has lived quite an interesting and incredible life
James spader went on to play Ultron between seasons.
No one underrates him.
I like how the lobbiest knew who Red was.
That is typically because one would expect that lobbyists can ill afford to remain ignorant on matters of others that wield actual power.
@@PhrontDoor beautiful writing.
Beautiful performance by the lobbyist. I can watch the scene for his reactions alone.
Same circles. They both live in the mud, but the lobbyist is smart enough to know who OWNS the mud. :)
@@DigitalJesuit It would have been a nice line if Red turned to the lobbiest and said "You have until Thurday, John".
"Unlike your lunch date here, I'm not interested in foreplay." DAMN!
Spader carries the "Silence of the lambs vibe" through this whole show.. i love it
He never raises his voice is always so polite and urbane yet people are terrified of him
Talk softly and carry a big stick.
I never get over how so many people just recognize Red on here but he's been global for 30 years.

Pre-ordered a martini for the senator. How thoughtful. How very Reddington
Great series. Red is a classic character.
And they are dining in a classic NYC restaurant as well. The Gotham Restaurant is a quintessential NYC establishment.
James Spader is the most Unique and Wonderful actor in his profession Outstanding.
I'll never stop watching these short clips. They're as fascinating as all great spy & mob movies. 😎
Steals his phone to top it off. You can see him reach for it, and give up.

He's the best of the best actor Out there I watch blacklist for the forth time now it's the best
James Spader still is one of the Best actor
I'm curious how the interaction would go between Red and Patrick Jane from The Mentalist
He was the only reason to watch this show. Everyone else was just prop pieces.
James Spader has got style and charisma. Whispered in his ear. FBI's most wanted and they can't touch him.
Its for the senator he could use a good stiff drink 🍸and than some. What a marvellous actor.
Seems senator was looking for man made 🍖 ,. Sicko
Imagine his irritating answer when his wife screams:
You promised me my painting 😢
I love how he always has time for a drink😂

Little late in response but yeah, that's one of Reds main muscle guys.
