fiona isn’t a “real” villain. she also DEFINITELY ISNT a hero, or an anti hero for that matter. that’s what makes her character so intriguing. sister jude is an anti hero. elsa mars is an anti hero. fiona ISNT. she’s a total gray area. i know people have pointed out that “she would’ve killed all the coven” but that doesn’t fit in with the rest of her of her plot and characterization. 1. she didn’t really mean to kill madison, in fact, she wanted madison to kill her and maybe see if she had what it takes to be the next supreme. but when she accidentally did she just... kinda went with it. 2. the whole reason she came back was to protect her coven, isn’t it? in the beginning, when she hears that witches are being hunted again she comes back to protect her kind, so it wouldn’t make any sense if she just killed them all?? like?? what my theory? cordelia was the only one who “had the vision” and she was talking to the axeman. so what if it was a lie to set up the axeman?

The series went downhill after Jessica left. Gaga was able to fill the spot of a strong, mature, mysterious & eccentric female character in Hotel, but after that it just hasn't been the same without her. Also, the direction of the show has shifted towards this weird teen dark comedy style that I really don't like and many of the new characters are just bland and fall flat. The show has lost its magic for me.
I agree, the original five seasons are all unique with great acting and very solid writing. Murder House will always be my favorite with Coven second and Asylum third (I prefer Coven over Asylum because I absolutely adore the whole witch theme + the season doesn't take itself too seriously so it's fun to watch as opposed to Asylum which imo is quite serious and dark most of the time). The new seasons are trash imo (including Apocalypse), but no offence to anyone who enjoys them.

I think that was her character development. Fiona told her that she was soft and cared too much of what people think. In the end, she learned to be just a little more ruthless and unapologetic to show that she is real worthy character.
