"The idea was very spontaneous to work together on this tune. We had an older version that we sent out to a couple DJ, and they really digged it for a long time, but after a while we felt like it needed an update. The 4x4 drum pattern was at first just an idea to spice up the intro, but later on we decided that we liked that groove so much we wanted that vibe to continue in the drop. Stylistically it was very different from anything else we had made at the time, so it was very exciting for us that we had made it," - Buunshin

This is old but they probably didn't change the track at all. The "second drop" you are talking about is another track altogether. Don't know what it is but it is a different track being played, they just happen to sound very similar in structure and sound.
