I've seen all 32 episodes, but have not seen this one in ages. I have to say, I'd always wondered why Penelope dyed her hair blackish brown - of course now I know it was part of her undercover mission. And she sang so well!
@dharmagaladriel Of coarse.... I just love the line... Reminds me of in "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" where the newspaper ad guy askes his fellow employee, "Who the Hell is Baby Jane Hudson??!!"
@@tanjavogt8535 Thank you. I wish that I could see it. In the last two years ITV's lawyers have conspired to prevent me watching these videos here in the UK where the programmes were made.
@@tanjavogt8535 Thanks. I can see that one alright. On Cliff Richard's YT site there's some videos taken of them for imageing purposes. They perform Shooting Star.
Just went to the Weta Workshop and they made thunder birds Here are some facts 1- a guy would listen to the audio and sounds and presses buttons to move mouths, eyes etc etc. 2- a guy would stand 20 feet tall to move the bodys Easter egg - when thw rocket launches if you can see it theres a juice sqeezer in the backround, it was placed there to look like a fan The bad guys liar has circut boards for floors I cannot tell you the res but you can book a tour at weta studios
Michael Healey I don’t think the song was a tracker. Rather it relayed where the plane would be at any time via the Cham Cham at the house of the bands manager
I just came across the TB episode with this. Great fun and always good to see Lady P and Parker in action! The mimicry with the jazz group was superb
The Cham Cham is one of my favourite eps from Thunderbirds.
Mine too.
They did a great job mimicking every detail!
It's got a sick beat
So Bond-esque !
AN Feuerstahl - It’s that chord of the minor 9th at the end that makes it so Bondesque!
also probably a John Barry track ... he also did the Bond Music
This song was also heard in the Captain Scarlet episode Flight to Atlantica
what the Name of That Band, not Shadow !

I get Bond vibes from this
2:11 Looks like the Duchess of Royston also digs this number.
A true fan !!!!!
Tin tin loves this tune.....
Tin-tin digs this tune.
Such a cool time the 1960s
Very Melodic, as they say!!
As a kid i was crazy for FireBall XL-5. Love this!
I wish this would happen more often nowadays but I doubt studios have that kind of budget anymore.
@magtaq I'll look on the credits when I get a chance and see if there's a credit for the orchestra...
The Cass Carnaby 5 eh. Given the era when this episode was filmed were they intended to be a knockoff of the Dave Clark 5?
Shirley Bassey sings this song too The Dangerous Game❤🎶❤
The fact that it's lower than the original bothers me but it actually sounds interesting this way
@gregoryagogo penelope. did you watch the episode? it explains why there's a wanda.
So superior to the computer generated
There must be a subliminal message in that song. Listen once and it will change you.
@noob1138 It's a stretch... it is a wheel, and not a joy stick....
A Cham-Cham?
What's a Cham-Cham, Brains?
A Cham-Cham is a new electronic machine that is sensitive to ultrasonic harmonics and microtones
Totally!
@dharmagaladriel Of coarse.... I just love the line... Reminds me of in "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" where the newspaper ad guy askes his fellow employee, "Who the Hell is Baby Jane Hudson??!!"
the studio Bossanova is here on youtube, but this samba, with penny singing is not here....the studio cuts are better...can they be found here?
...would you say this is classic bossa nova??
chooonnnn
Do we know the names of the musicians on this. I assume that ir's not Vic Flick on guitar no matter how much I'd like it to be.
There's another video on YT from Thunderbirds are go that is with Cliff and the Shadows really great one 💯👌

Wanda Lamour? Who the FUCK is Wanda Lamour?!!
She's by way of being a very provocative torch singer.
Based
Maybe there's a pill for that.

Why does Lady Penelope sound like Parker? And what episode is this from?
Épisode 25 season 1. The Cham-Cham
The sax player's hands are in the wrong position.
I've seen this episode & can't help thinking couldn't the guys in the cargo plane just switch off the radio so the bad guys don't track them? :)
Michael Healey I don’t think the song was a tracker. Rather it relayed where the plane would be at any time via the Cham Cham at the house of the bands manager
I think Brains explains it quite well in the episode
Pitch is slow it's like listening to a drunk band
Crap that kids are fed with these days
This is a classic - and adults love it too - myself included and I'll be 66 in November!
