As a chelsea fan, he's absolutely right. I don't know that i've seen such a quick turnaround in attitude towards Chelsea in a very long time. And that could be because we deserved it because we played well. But it's proof that everyone INCLUDING THE MEDIA are extremely reactionary and judge based off now. People were talking about us like they are United right now but not anymore? We won 2 games and drew one. Hardly the best form i've seen in awhile
The majority of the media and fan bases change their views more than the weather.
They only see the short term and never the long term.
That is their perogative, and they're entitled to do that, but anyone who wants success in the long term will work towards long-term projects and asses their progress over longer periods of time.
I have always said that I would reserve judgement until the end of the season despite how I felt after a few results.
I said at the start of the season that top 8 would be reasonable for this young team, and if Chelsea qualifies for Europe with the injuries and their youthful players, then that's great progress.
They can then gradually build each season until they reach the top.
Incremental progress makes the goal envitable.
However in football we see that having the right coach and environment can change dramatically. Bayern Leverkusen suddenly winning Bundesliga is one example.
So I'm not sure about incremental success when you can see the rise and fall can be so sudden and huge.
@@footballfan5048 I would say it took a very long time behind the scenes for Bayern Leverkusen to become an overnight success with their general running of the club and recruitment, though I completely agree with the right environment and the right coach for any team to become successful. They certainly require the vision and potential to have a winning formula.
I agree tremendously. I at times wonder why people get so rapid and drastic about the work Poch has done since his first full season.

I mean I do agree our football has been very entertaining this season, but extremely inconsistent and stressful because of how much we concede particularly in the final minutes. But our attacking football has been so good at times, better than we often got during the Abramovic era in which we usually played much more defensive football and sat back much more.
It's my point too..many say we aren't scoring it's wrong, we are scoring better than last season but our biggest problem is the defence.. which is the heart of our chelsea..that's how we dominated in abrahmovic era.. even with tuchel in UCL we scored 2 goals vs real Madrid and we parked.. in the final 1-0 up and parked. We need consistency in defence only then we can top the table and win trophies
It is a motivation for the team and coach. Rather that criticizing all the time and being negative - give praise where it is due. It could be small steps - but they are heading in the right direction. They should just keep it up.

I’ve never seen so much delusion and hate in the comments 😂 first, he’s right, those last 2 and half games we were brilliant, how we have hoped to have been all season. We’ve scored 70 goals, only 5 teams have more, and some only a few more. We make so many chances, and could have as many goals as City and Arsenal, our issue has been the defence, which has improved since the 2nd half against Villa with none conceded. We are actually improving and going in the right direction which is very impressive when you just about put a team together with the threadbare squad (see that bench against Spurs?😅), it’s a massive improvement upon last year, we just need to be more consistent. Next year has to push on, a proper decent no. 9 is required and sort out the injuries and we will be dangerous in the coming years.

There has been some progress, but we have come from a pathetic low base. If we can sort out the defence, the number 9 position and our horrendous and never ending injury list, top 6 next year should be within reach. However, our injury record is the laughing stock of Europe. How many times have we seen players come back into contention for them to be injured again? Chilwell, Nkunku, Colwill………..
