I feel compelled to let y'all know, we don't actually hate Nickelback. It's mainly that this song was so overplayed whenever it was fresh that it became a meme in it's later years. Most people can remember slow dancing to this song at a prom, singing along stupidly for the 30th time, and even getting embarrassingly emotional when you listened to it alone. It's not a meme because it's bad, it's a meme because it transcends history ❤

While most people make fun of this song, I actually think it has deep meaning behind it. In my opinion, the song is about remembering all of the wonderful times you had in your old stumping grounds, and reminiscing on how things have changed. But it also says that you shouldn't just live in the past, because you have a whole life ahead of you and you'll waste it if you only live in the past; not trying to move forward, and create new memories in the process. However, it is nice to sometimes remember the old days, because they played a big part in making us who we are.

I feel like, when Jon and Caleb first did a colab, that was when their RUclips careers really took off lol. There's just such an amazing chemistry between the two of them that makes every song they do together seem so much better than when they're alone. Of course, it also probably takes a lot more time and effort to make these multi-person videos than the single-person ones, which might have a big effect too. Now that I think about it, the two of them have also been getting better and better over the years. If you go back and listen to their stuff from 2014-2016, compared to the past few years, there's a massive improvement imo.
