Completely and totally agree with that statement some people are so cursed with freaking hair loss, or if you are on chemo Its a nightmare for men and unless you have the right big round face you wont look good with a shaved head. It has killed my self confidence i really respect Larry for dealing with it like he has.

You guys missed the subtext of the klansman set of episodes. And that was that "professionalism and professional courtesy" trumps ideology or other feelings. LD respected the "professional" dedication of the Klansman, and he felt it was his, also professional, duty of making it up to him (he was going to give such a fantastic, bespoke robe that it would get him invited by the wizard for dinner. It turns it is actually the most normal of human interactions and transactions. It only appears absurd and surreal to us because normal society breaks up under hatred and deserved reaction., That is why it is comedy. And that is why it works.
As to Vaughn's shirt, it is inconsequential to anybody, really.

Often I can see things from Larry's point of view, but the shirt thing is outrageous.
I'm on the other side; if you lend someone a shirt, especially for dinner, there is a risk of a stain. One can hardly go through the evening fretting about getting anything on the shirt, it would ruin the whole date. Lending his favourite shirt is especially unwise.

I’m a Christian but Larry’s point about praying “oh Larry David prayed” always makes me laugh

This whole concept comes from a time people thought a flash was gods anger and a flood meant neighbours wife has cheated and should be stoned to death. . You have to be braindead to think there is god's receptionist waiting for your mumbling and sending out ordered healings. But a prayer can be a powerful meditative tool and help people getting a quiet,self appreciating moment .

Freddy lent Larry his favourite shirt and only a favourite shirt can replace it. That is logical on its face but not ethical from Larry’s standpoint. Larry’s rule is that it is a mistake to lend a favourite shirt and therefore Freddy’s demand for an equivalent is not ethically appropriate. Freddy is asking Larry to go against his principles, but Larry did not specifically ask for Freddy’s favourite shirt. Larry is therefore under no ethical obligation to part with his blue and gray two-tone.
