I just bought my phone the other day. Its gonna be difficult id amdit since im used to android. But i have confidence that the iphone SE will be a good phone to have. I mean like yes, the battery will be pretty bad, but non of the less, i fee like i will have a good experiance with it.

Battery life isn't that bad actually
Like you I just got this phone and it’s my first iPhone, so far so good, can’t believe how small it is! Battery life is better than my HTC U11 and everything works! I mean all apps are smooth, no crashes or glitches, everything goes smoothly, no diving into menus to allow or open certain operations. I bought it as I wanted a small phone with a fast processor.
Things I don’t like??? It’s IOS stuff really, I use an iPad and it has linked them together which was inevitable I suppose but both devices have the same apps and info, I don’t need a small iPad I need a different device for particular functions.

60 years of experience in professional photography with a variety of cameras, from Minox to 5x7 film size in studio; and still learned a great deal from your video. I own an SE 2020. I have subscribed and will put the videos in my Favorites. Now watching it on a PC, but sure to see watch it again on iPhone or iPad and "play with the settings". Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for a very useful tutorial, which revealed several features I did not know existed. Note that the SE I purchased direct from Apple in November 2020 has a slightly different set of camera settings.

Is there a way for example to take a photo, select the blank and white version but be able to just show color like my red lipstick only but leave everything else black and white?
So glad you found the video helpful and thanks for the follow. As for the question, you can shoot black and white but unfortunately to keep on area say red, the phone can’t do it natively. You can look up apps though that may offer this kind of feature.

Great tutorial! Though one thing I was looking for in particular was how to set the resolution for photos. I'd think that would be important considering both quality and storage. I gather you can't set the resolution for photos, only for videos? Thank you.

Thanks for the tutorial for the new SE. I would love to be able to take portrait pictures of my dog and other animals with the blur effect behind the subject. When I try to take a close up of my dog, the camera says "no person detected". and I loose the blur behind the subject. My question: is there a way to take portrait shots of subjects besides people and still get the blur in the background? Thank you very much. Johnny
This iPhone doesn't have a portrait mode for objects or animals unfortunately. You may be able to find apps in the App Store that might be able to mimic it though.

Glad the video helped. Usually it’s the lighting or moving of the camera to fast after the picture is taken. Give it an extra second after you take it and it might be better.

I'd welcome suggestions to compensate for lack of low light features, ie using phone's flash?
Not much you can do in low light with this phone other then the camera light.
So I have the new iPhone SE but I would like to know how to switch from different apps like double tapping home button
Double click the home button opens the multitask. Is that what you mean?

Very comprehensive tutorial. Just curious...on my S10 I can hold the shutter button and physically move it anywhere on the active photo screen, which has been very useful on occasion. Also, I can take photos by simply saying "shoot" which helps minimize/avoid movement. Does the SE have the ability to do these things?

Use the iMovie app to edit and then the RUclips app to upload.

Glad you liked the video. I am not sure what you mean by in a timer? It shouldn't burst unless you swipe the shutter to the left.
@@DHTV Thank you for your reply due to having tremor I use tripod mount if I take better pictures and I use the Self Timer So if I select either 3 or 10 second it counts down on screen to zero then when it takes the picture it does a burst of 10 instead of just the one...which setting have I missed....Thank you one again
Hello, Can you point me in the right direction? I just bought this and want to record in landscape while the phone is being held vertically. I basically record while its sitting in my backpack strap. Is this possible? I appreciate your time.

Just started using my iphone se2020 camera. Took a picture of item in upright position. How can I rotate the image 90 degrees?
In photos, open the photo tap edit and then tap the last option on the bottom right. Tap the second square at the top right and it will rotate.

Hello if have a new iPhone SE2 . When I take photos it looks clear as it is . When I view that photos in my photos app it gets slightly blurry . When I zoom it a little bit again it get back to the original resolution. Is this problem is in every iPhone . And how to fix this plzzzzz let me know ..

Zooming in usually will show a less perfect picture. Also when you take the photo it’s best not to zoom in or it will be worse later if you zoom again in photos.

How do you mute the shutter noise for both the normal pictures and live? I just got an se 2nd gen and it’s on ios16.1 I can not for the life of me fix it.
Never had another phone I couldn’t disable it.. it’s annoying to me.
Silent switch is the only option. If it doesn’t work there is a chance your iPhone was made for an area where this is not allowed.

🙋♀️ Hello, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I just got this phone i’m excited to use it for selling on Ebay. Before I was using my camera. Id like to know how to transfer photos to ebay and when i take a series of photos i’d like to put them in an album and date them.

Glad it helped! Just install the eBay app. Take pics using the iPhone and in the eBay app when listing there is an option to upload the photos. It opens your iPhone photo album and you select the ones you want. As for albums, open photos tap albums option, tap the plus (top left) crate a name. Select the photos from recent album, tap share button bottom left and select add to album.
Great tutorial, one question, using and talking into the front facing camera. I want to flip onto the rear facing camera, to show what i’m introducing.
Cant seem to do this all in the one clip (action) Any ideas other than multiple clips.

Unfortunately it's a missing feature in iPhones. Hopefully Apple releases an update that allows it.

Lighting is key so try to shoot in the best lighting you can. If you want a dark shot this isn't the best phone for that.

It’s my first iPhone and I have to say that so far I love it. But in the Android interface camera had settings to beautify pictures. I haven’t find something similar yet in the camera settings. Can you help?

I am digitally photographing old photo albums with my Iphone SE 2020. I am having a huge problem with reflections. I found Google photo scan for glare, but it only works with overhead light reflection (light bubs showing) no help with shadow reflections. I am getting shadow reflections, mostly on dark backgrounds or over exposed photos, and have tried all kinds of different lighting and nonlighting, and every position, etc. I try to make my room as dark as possible but with enough low light to make the photos decent. It is very frustrating so I sometimes have dark blobs on photos or can see my camera reflected near the edges even if moving away, especially if there is a dark background. Is there a tutorial on how to photograph glossy photos? I have done about 300 photos at a time so it is very time consuming. As far as exact borders, I got through most of my albums before finding this wonderful video so I have a lot of junk on the sides. I don't want to redo 300+ photos per album (25 albums) plus shots of the complete page for reference) but would like to know if there is a setting or program that will actually eliminate reflection and be quick and easy to use. This was a great video and I learned a lot from it. I wish I had found it sooner. Thank you.
To be honest, I use the photo scan app by Google. Lighting is tough but I have a small light box I got on Amazon and it works well. It’s very hard to play around with lighting and shadows. Natural light from the window worked best for me too.

Every time? Sometimes it happens to me if I take a video by accident. If your using the volume buttons to take the pic, holding it takes a video even when in photos so that could be the issue to.

I took a photo of a building. On the screen appeared a 1and a 0.5. When I set it to 0.5 it gave me a beatiful wide angle picture on the SE phone. After that I couldn’t get that setting again. Can you tell me how to get it again because I loved it. I can show the ordinary pic and then the wide angle pic.
With the SE it was probably panoramic photos as I show in the video. There is no .5 wide angle lens on the SE

In video mode, start recording with the flash option on. You will have a shutter button appear on screen and you can take pics while recording. Just delete the video after. It’s not perfect but it’s a work around.

Yeah unfortunately that’s how it is. You can try searching for an app that offers this but might be hard to find.

I haven’t tried the Samsung so not sure and unfortunately I’m not sure if there are any wide angle apps but you can by wide angle lenses to clip over the camera on Amazon.

Sort of, only if you want the home button otherwise the new 13s would be my choice.
Burst mode is not working like you said (to hold longer volume button) it start to record video. To activate burst mode slide to the left and hold the capture button.

Thanks, I tend to use my iPhones a lot snd push them pretty hard so it's not the greatest for me. However for the most part I think the average user can get through the day with it. If you are used to the iPhone 11 or 11 pro Mac battery it's tough to scale down but other then that it's not bad.

I missed it in the video but in the photo option, slide the shutter to the left and hold. It will tale burst photos until released.

Are you sure its an SE 2020 edition? It could be an iPhone 8 they look similar. Make sure first. If it is an SE restart the phone make sure it’s updated and check again.
