- In this video, I'm sharing my latest thrift haul and styling my finds! I picked up a ton of plant supplies and decor to help update my home decor, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

HARLI, use one of the casserole dishes on the end of the third cabinet, above your coffee machine, and put a pothos hanging down the side in it. It would kinda fill up that space and look good, I reckon. Plus you wouldn't have to get up there too often to water it. 👍💚🌿🇦🇺

I buy fancy china with pretty edges from thrift stores and use them as saucers for literally all of my plants.
I do the same. :) So much more fun than a plain saucer and I love that it protects my furniture and gives new life to old pieces.
Hey how do you water ? I recently started doing this instead of in the tub. But I feel that my plants dry quicker when I water into the pot with the saucer than in the tub
For the plants that seem to dry out quickly I water them in one pass then come back and top off as needed during the same watering session. It's a hassle but I find some just soak the first water up so quickly. I have a terribly dry house for half the year so I don't really worry about over watering during this time

Thrift store prices have really gone up where I live. I used to go thrifting pretty regularly specifically for shirts since both my partner and my best friend work manufacturing jobs that are really hard on clothes. It used to be an affordable way to stock up on clothes that get worn out really quickly. Now it is easier on the wallet to buy a multipack of plain t-shirts at Walmart or Target.

Oh gosh Harli your thrift store finds are so awesome, and I totally agree about how prices have gone up, and I love thrift shopping and Deseret Industries is one of my favorites and so is Goodwill. I am also one who loves glass bowls and vases and that one with the beautiful gold decorative stand and that gorgeous glass bowl is so pretty and I would love to find one of those myself. I have a really small one that has gold stand and a glass bowl that is not clear but has that texture in the glass that looks feathery and I have loved it for many years. Oh you have given me inspiration to run over to my favorite thrift stores and see what they have now. I an wishing you a beautiful and blessed rest of your day, sending love and hugs, bye! 😊😂👋👍💜

The thrift store i frequent also has higher proces than what I wish to pay for the items...
The trays I made a faux living wall by getting some trays and then using floral pins and fake leaves at Michaels and taking apart a old wreath that had like fern branches on it. I used the floral pins and got that green floral foam stuff and cut it thin to fir the trays then arranged the leaves like a forest floor covering the floral box stuff then arranged the trays on a angle behind my other stuff. It gave me the look I wanted without the hassel of having to constantly take it down to maintain life on it lol.
I love what you did with the top of your cabinets. I collected cake stands antique and depression glass and put them at the top of my cabinets. My SIL put Department 56 houses above her cabinets (we both have plugs above the cabinets for lights) which she keeps on. It adds character to put something on the top of your cabinets. ☺
I always look for those brass stands that did hold bowls like that. I'm not crazy about the bowl, but those stands look amazing with a cute pot in them and they are perfect for cascading plants.

That was a fun video, Thank you! And everything has gone up so thrift store prices have to go up. They still have to pay for lighting and fuel and anything else that comes up. So we just have to expect it and enjoy it anyway.

Thrift store prices have definitely gone up, especially for clothes!! I stick to the Goodwill bins because the one near me has better clothes than the stores. Your cabinets look so cute!!!

Hi Harli, the Littonware clay pot is for cooking casseroles or potroasts, I think.
In Europe they had similar looking pots called Römertopf. Popular in the 70s and were considered healthier cooking back then.

Oooh - that Guernsey oval baker does have a lid - but it also has a silver serving tray that it sits inside of… I found my baker one year and found the tray 2 years later. The top of the cabinets look nice!

I feel like because thrifting has become so popular they have raised their prices. I find that there isn’t the selection there once was and the amount of people in the stores is x10 more as well.

I'm in Australia and our thrift stores/op shop pricing has gone up too. I also noticed a lot of essentials being sold at thrifts stores after COVID, and while these aren't expensive, they are a few that sell things for basically the same as store bought. I still prefer thrifting to buying new, but I know price is a big factor for a lot of people. So i found it disheartening.
