I have learned something in life and I don't know how much I appreciate people who don't have any appreciation for me and my service. How can is it acceptable for anyone to abuse and disrespect a person while that person doesn't have no right to talk back to anyone, even those who abused and tortured them continually?
No one deserves to be treated poorly, what I do know is that the Holy Spirit gives us the gift of resistance and long-suffering. It is to make us realize we are blessed and stronger with the help of His Holy Spirit. We are like an empty glass that needs to be filled time after time. Joyous when full, and well, otherwise empty.

I have not been able to stop replaying the mistakes I made raising my first child! Her beginnings were hard, then became harder; she needed a more gentler mom even through her need to push all my buttons…everyday until she rebelled so so much she came into trouble w law and still doesn’t understand herself … nor do I, however I know I tried too too hard and when I stopped trying to get her onboard with not choosing trouble over honesty, she fell into darkness and became enthralled with romanticizing poverty and drugs. My heart and mind are in turmoil everyday, hoping when she walks out a free woman, she can put her life together in truth, grace, moving forward. With that thought, I fall back into distress and worry; and then recycling through the old tapes.

Hi Oprah,
Many factors in your life contributed to your success. Your grandmother with her bible stories, your childhood religious beliefs, you say that no one has ever made you feel inferior, and you were ahead of the kids in your class, feeling like you were the smartest. Here's the key. Therefore, you were able to have high hopes, but that came a bit later because a child is clueless of what they can and cannot do.
My parents did not raise me. I was raised by my grandmother until the age of 6. My parents took me to live with them at the age of 7 when I went to school. My parents have never bonded with me. I felt that we were strangers to one another. Without any input from them they expected me to be a "ready made adult." At the age of 9 they took me to America. I didn't speak English, had no friends, and I spent hours alone in my room. They had no time for me. I was never taken anywhere. I was ridiculed and made fun of by my parents. They didn't take me seriously. There were no books in my home. The result was devastating because I began to live in the past. My mother passed away when I was almost 12. I was molested by my father. I retrieved into myself and became an introvert. I was emotionally scarred. My classmates recognized that I was different and I was bullied at school. I saw my family years later when I was 17. Even though I was white, you had a much better shot at life than I did. I didn't need a war to destroy me, my parents were my WAR.
Your intelligence and, as you say, the fact you were not put into an interatrial school worked very much in your favor. The public liked you, you figured out how to survive and with hard work and perseverance you made it. I like your advise but it's not that simple. It depends on what your book says, it depends on "what happened to us." So, Oprah, sometimes it's luck, and sometimes it's a lot of different factors, like being in the right place at the right time. And, only if all those factors come together somehow, like in they did in your life, can we make it. We don't always have an option to do what we love to do. I admire you greatly and love listening to you.

I need prayer for myself to let go. I took care of my parents for 12 years. My mom died last year. My sister helps with my dad. I need to let go and take care of me now. I want to also say that I believe we can do anything we put our minds to. So go and do it.

Forgive yourself. You are harder on yourself than anyone else. Assess people's behaviors. Believe what they are the first time. I went back. I now realize I did this asking for their forgiveness, when I needed to forgive myself and know GOD is very forgiving. I tried to change things buy going back expecting others to do what I would do.All the times they did exactly the same thing as before. I realize I needed to move on and STOP trying to change the story. Thank you for this video. May everyone who watches it grow and become more in the present. Keep growing it never stops. We will always makes mistakes. If we don't make mistakes we won't have successes.

Fantastic! Not an easy task but step by step by step by stumble by pick yourself up by step! No matter what you think you will bring to this community you will find that they give you so much more in return. 3 years after working on a summer break play group with this community, a very big, strong teenage lad with very challenging behaviour and little verbal communication, ran across a car park at a DIY store calling my name and gave me a great big huge. His mum was very taken aback. I had made a difference to his life and in that moment he made a difference to mine. Keep going Ruth.

I know it is a year later but here goes! I have become miserable at my current job. I am a pretty happy person so this is my cue that it is time for a change. I make really good money and I work from home and a few other great things about my current job so considering a change was hard! The fact that I am the main source of income for my family AND I am turning 59 next week is another reason I have been cautious of making this change. But, I started the first step of my journey on April 1st and I am excited to say I have established my first stream of passive income on my journey to be a Socialpreneur. Evan stated the importance of surrounding yourself with people who can inspire me. I am the most successful person in my small inner circle and have mentored without having a mentor for many years. So thank you Evan for bringing phenomenal content into our lives. Oprah is my favorite especially when she talks about advise she received from Maya Angelou. I will be forever grateful for the inspiration as I begin this journey. Currently it is my side hustle and it has made my day job more bearable knowing it has an expiration date!

Hey this video is helping me with my granddaughter she was beaten by her27 yrs old step brother while her mom watched, I was taking a shower and your Spirit came to me before this happen, now I know why , This broke me down and I remember you said your show was your platform to help, so I took it to Facebook, to buy my granddaughter more time, my granddaughter mom was molested as a child no one did anything , I don’t want my granddaughter to believe it’s ok to be beaten by any man, the bruises on her body A loving caring brother could never do then they told her to stay out of school for 1 week, I’m doing my best to stop this. I am working let go out worry / anxiety / depression - when I am not in control - cannot do anything about beyond my control. Learn when to say no when I should no and when mean to no and not be say yes. Be courageous/be myself / stand firm. Not let people take me or define or paint me as someone I am not negatively.
Blocking my own process I lost my focus. Now I have focus through dark path to the light. To be do and what I was call to do in my life to serve.
Stop halting- thinking I cannot concentrate on my goals. Which on back burner….
Now I am listening/ reading (circle words) pointing in sentences that are more alive in me now. My life is not ended even though done may think so. My understanding has been deepen - growth has been nourish…..
