Very similarly I've had a running joke where one of my best friends would randomly occasionally tell me ska is dead. Last year she came out as a transwoman and I've been sending her these songs to remind her that it's not dead and that I love her being who she is.

my favourite part is that after they break the very machine that forces them into drinking Only pink and blue and their only other option was to combine those, they start getting other colours! love the acknoledgment of how much variety there is and that the "in-between" is not the only non-binary option, that there isn't just a third gender to be added to the system. people say it as if it is sometimes and it's not great to hear when you don't identify as in-between. love what they did here
