      @@ronankellypretty sure physicists have estimated his run with 95% between 9.51-9.65. So they believe it could have potentially been his fastest run. I’m guessing based on his 200M change in time from 2008 to 2009 his time would have been closed to the 9.6 like you suggest

    • @ronankelly
      @ronankelly Год назад +5

      @@D1Ziple In the 9.69, his splits before he started celebrating weren't as fast as his 9.58. He started celebrating at around the 80 metre mark in this race, and his time at that point was 7.96, compared to 7.92 in his 9.58. Considering in the final 10 metres of his 9.58, Bolt didn't slow down at all and kept the same pace as his previous 3 10m splits, 2008 Bolt wasn't catching up. Even if we take the near-perfect splits of his 9.58 and apply them to his 9.69, he still falls short at 9.62 just like you said. All these comments are nonsense lol.

      Tbh he had a time where he could've been going under 9.7, but never pushed through the line. I actually half expected him to win at London 2012, considering how good his starts are with his height, he has a great balance between acceleration and top speed

    This is actually the top 10 fastest times of all time. The top 10 100m races of all time, you would think would be calculated by getting the average of all of the runners' times in each race. I suppose that would be a bit more difficult to do, but certainly an accurate reflection of the title.

    Wow, this shows how much Bolt is ahead of everybody else. But Gay and Blake were very close. Especially Gay in his peak could of gotten closer to Bolt's times. ( don't know how much of his success was from PED's but nonetheless) His top speed is crazy, only second to Bolt. Kind of interesting that Gatlin's PB is only 9.74 ( though that in itself is amazing), remembering how consistent he is at the big stage.

    If Tyson ever fixed his start mistakes he could maybe run 9.6 lows and win a bit more. (Im referring to his right-arm "bending-to-totally-extending" technique + his ground contact steps ahead of his center of mass instead of behind it).
    2 very important mistakes that literally kill human speed.

    Ok so when you say fastest 100m. You mean by 100m of individual people. BUT saying 100m races is different. FOR example... the 2012 LONDON olympics should BE the fastest 100m OF all time. BECAUSE 7 out of 8 sprinters dipped under 10 seconds. IN Berlin 2009, only 4 people went under 10 seconds.
