  • This is defiantly my go-too-silent setup. Pairing the Gecko switches with the ergonomics of the AM compact touch is a match made in heaven! I defiantly recommend it!
    I tried testing the build with no foam, and it just wasn't quite the same. Although I generally like no foam with my personal builds, the silent switches get a bit more thump to the sound with foam, and I defiantly prefer it over the no foam version.
    Switches are hand lubed with 205g0 on the stem and GPL 105 Oil on the spring, and no lube on the housing.

      Like this is super close to the sound I want (this keyboard video) but I'm looking for less clicky

    Is it more silent in real life bc it sounds quite loud for a silent switch

      Oh yeah very silent! I boosted it a tad in post and the mic is very close, you can hear how loud my arm is when it moves against the table.

    NO ONE buy his keyboards, he is overpricing his boards and taking advantage of new keyboarders that think it is worth it. he is selling boards worth $250 for $550+

      @TyCottle  Год назад +3

      😂 huh, what are you even talking about, on my website im 100% transparent about why the price is that expensive and even tell people to build there own before considering buying mine. I also have a comprehensive build guide on the exact same boards on my RUclips showing the cheapest and easiest ways to make them. Your goofy AF brother.

      Hi, the Tiger Lite keyboard costs $130 USD on KBDfans, and shipping within the US is $20 for me, totaling $150. GMK Strikers keycaps are expensive at $150, and with the NovelKeys shipping, the combined cost is $300. Next, the switches are Banana Milk, and they cost $66 when lubed.
      The switch lubing fee isn't cheap at $1.20 per switch, but it's difficult for me to charge less considering my limited free time, as I work and attend college simultaneously. I believe I'm charging what I'm worth; having lubed over 30,000 switches by now, I've become quite consistent. If you've ever worked a freelance job, you know that you need to raise your rates as you improve your skills. For instance, I think Alexotos charges $1.30 per switch.
      The builder's fee covers tracking, assembly, and tuning stabilizers. I understand the price isn't ideal, and I'd love for it to be lower, but it wouldn't be worth it for me, as I wouldn't be earning enough compared to my day job. I apologize if you think I'm scamming people; I'm doing my best to provide multiple alternatives for my boards. When people complain about my prices, I always encourage them to build their own keyboards before considering purchasing mine. The great thing is that most people do make their own! My boards cater to those who don't have the time to build their own and are willing to pay extra for me to do it for them.
      To ease your concerns, I can link a build tutorial for my KBDfans build on my website alongside the boards, so people know how much it could cost if they build it themselves. I hope you have an amazing day, and if you have any further concerns, please let me know. I'll do my best to address them.
