    Nice Set-Up.👍 Everyone Has Been Chasing The 5.56 For So Long Its Become So Mundane. 5.56 Barrel Life Is Is Incredible Compared To So Many Of The Wildcats That Have Been A Spin Off Of 5.56. Regardless Reloading Becomes The Issue Because Industry Hasn’t Been Able To Stock The Wildcats. Go Into A Store And 30-06 & .308 Availability Is Plentiful Regardless Where You Find Yourself. Great Information. Keep It Coming.

    Sweet rig and thanks for posting! Just placed an order today for a 26” Criterion prefit in .223AI for my savage model 12 and woox chassis. I noticed several Dies on amazon and in the wild. I can’t wait to get it going.

      That should be a good looking setup when you get it together. The Criterion ar barrels I've shot have all been tack drivers.

      @@thelonggunner762oh yes. The AR barrels are the reason I chose criterion for my prefit barrel. I have a 16” straight stainless HBAR from criterion that will shoot one hole groups almost every time you go shooting.

      @@thelonggunner762just received my MDT XRS with a 10rd metal MDT mag. Its having some trouble and it looks like I will have too find the right magazine as you say. Any suggestions?

      @stevenmarcus2709 I've been using the MDT polymer mags on mine, because of the case being slightly larger it will only hold 9 rounds

    Great video. I have started a 280 AI project. Do you see less case stretch compared to standard 223 brass?

      I've fired them 4 times and still don't need to trim them.

    I have both the 22 ARC and the 223 AI , The AI outperforms the ARC and uses less powder
    is more inherently accurate......

    I get 75 bthp from rocky mountain bullets for less than 20cents per. Great and informative, and I want one! hahaha. Any plans to try heavier stuff like 90gr smk or 88gr eld-m etc ? Assuming they can stretch it pass 1000?

      I've got 3 more projectiles on hand for it. The 80gr VLD, 80gr ELD-M and the 88gr ELD-M.

    Which dies are you using? I got a Redding bushing 223 40 degree set on sale so I’m starting a similar project?

      I've got the Redding set with the standard full length sizer, it was the only one I could find at the time.

    Do you know your velocity with the 75gr using 23.1gr of AR Comp?

    how does ai 223 compare to 22 arc ?

    • @thelonggunner762
      @thelonggunner762  Месяц назад

      The AI 223 will be close to the factory 22ARC ammo for velocity. The factory loads are at lower AR compatible pressures. The 22ARC has more case capacity and when hand loaded for a bolt gun at higher pressure it will out shine the AI.
