Many thanks for this - so many of the youtube vids have you unscrewing the back and trying to pop off the entire palm rest bezel. Besides being truer to the official HP vid, this worked and got the job done in 10 minutes. Thanks again!!

I have a G6-2242sa. I have removed the keyboard release screw on the bottom and pried out the clips around the edge of the keyboard but it still won't budge. Is there something else holding it? I'm scared to use too much force in case I damage the laptop.

I have the Identical laptop but I do not have the 5 spots where the board Is pried up.
Mine has twisted my mind.
Every video I saw on the g6 has those ports that are lifted up with a flat head.
It's even this way at the HP website so what the hell Is up with my lapdog.
I've said this before, I will break It apart soon. No choice left.
