That way you don't piss people off and it can stand or fail on its own without relying on the name of the original. IMO Zegler has a entitled, woke attitude from what I have seen in the interviews. Walt Disney was european though, it's not like he had the internet to scour for ideas, these were stories they heard as kids, he and his circle knew the stories from their youth and made cartoons to reflect those stories, the real stories are much darker and there are no happy endings
