They are EVERYWHERE!!! Being a HUGE Chargers Fan (American Football Team), love that Minji is wearing a Charger's Jersey in performance video!
I'm honestly obsessed with these girlies! It's my fav debut ever!!!! I know the problem people have with cookie but it's my fav song if I don't pay attention to lyrics 😅 Danielle has gotten the bias spot for me but seriously love them all!
I think the thing along with just their stage presence and vocals is that they look like they are enjoying their job and life at the same time. Them being really young is important and they are having fun on stage and off stage. I think it just makes them so much better

No I hear you 1000% with the misinfo that gets thrown around, I don't blame you being careful on what to believe. I learned after the Jaden stuff to never simply trust the widely held belief and to do the research myself and look at actual sources and translations. There's a TON of missinfo around min heejin, even articles had miss translations and inaccurate summaries from things she actually said. THAT said, even with the actual facts there's enough evidence (imo) to suggest that she does glorify the lolita aesthetic in her personal life. I don't see that in New Jeans's concept, fortunately, but I do think min heejin is concerning. As for cookie's lyrics, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone's right. A perfect storm for chaos with Ador hiring an English writer to write about cookies in a flirtatious way, then Ador using cookie (singular) because they wanted to make a metaphor between a perfect cookie for a crush and a CD for fans. They probably intended to impart the message that New Jeans are cool and their music is hopelessly addictive the way a love struck crush would find cookies baked by the one they love addictive. The mv imagery genuinely does support what they said it was meant to be, so I feel like the cookie/music metaphor got drowned in the English lyrics because of cookie's other connotations. So yeah, I think ador always intended for it to be flirtatious, but did not know the connotation would be straight up explicit. (for this I say Ador because it seems a lot of people dropped the ball here)

I have never understood why Kpop entertainment companies don't have people on staff that can spot problems in lyrical content and in some cases, just get the English correct. There have been many a Kpop song with horrible English pronunciation and grammar. Then, like with "Cookie," there is a cultural divide in what something means. I have always believed that since Kpop is Korean, it is up to the rest of the world to figure it out. Kpop songwriters and producers don't have time to make sure the lyrics, when interpreted, will not in some way offend someone in the world's thousands of languages. This is especially true in Western cultures where meanings of words change on a daily basis. English is the worst offender with this issue. Especially with young people changing words to reflect a new pop culture in the West. I know when BTS was first breaking through, they purposely changed their lyrics to try and not to use the Korean word "Nega," which means "you." as it is pronounced very closely to the "N" word in English. RM was very aware of how that could be interpreted by an ignorant listener. I can't tell you how many times I have seen new Kpop reactors think they are hearing the "N" word instead of the correct Korean word. To heck with the lyrics, I need them to keep Hyein a little more clothed and for darn sure not blonde! I'm gonna need Ador to babysit this maknae! She is only 14 and is already a problem breaking hearts!
they’re so cute!! i swear i’ve been dancing to attention in my room everyday now lmao i’m so curious on how their next comeback is going to sound & look! and i agree with your thoughts at the end! the first time i listened to cookie (i reacted to it) and i honestly didn’t even notice the lyrics until afterwards ..it’s kinda awkward for me to listen to the song now! i told my friend that i’m not going to stop supporting them unless there’s a “cookie part 2” then there’s def a issue smh but i’m hoping that everything can be okay going forward with this group. they’re really so talented and seem like sweet girls and all of the different controversy around them must be disheartening for sure especially since it’s all out of their control
Rookies of the Year by a country mile. Superb live vocals, great stage presence and they are all so sweet! Hard to pick between Attention and Hype Boy for me. I think Attention just shades it for the vibes. Cookie is/was a mistake IMHO. Lyrically dubious it's my least favourite song of the four on the EP. But they have such a bright future.
in terms of their styling only reason i personally find it questionable is because sure other girls their age do wear things that like but normally it would be a girl who’s styling herself, with the new jeans members it’s adults who are putting them in these clothes for them to be displayed on stage so for me it is a little strange to see what they pick out for them to wear knowing the girls are so young.
