A tip: the color of the tutorial bubbles aren’t accessibility friendly. Try a darker blurb and a light font. Also, not everything needs a tutorial, trust that the player has played games before and leave obvious aspects out!
My game library has become a mirror of your RUclips channel. I consider your opinion to be very accurate and I end up enjoying pretty much every game you play. Can not wait to try this out.
What a cute looking lil game!! I love these shop manager games And I super love the idea of the king suddenly deciding the prices of uncool things lol "why was that exciting?!" at the slime races had me giggling
@@randexestudios1569 Absolutely! I'm sure you'll get it right. Gameplay always comes first, and you nailed that. Can't promise anything, but I'll probably buy on release-
I definitly took a lot of inspiration from Recettear. Unfortunatly I didn't had the budget to make it a true spiritual successor, but I still love what I was able to do in the end. Hopefully I can keep working on the game afterwards! :)
you should have probably bought the helmets as the price for them has decreased, that way you can sell them for profit in five days when the price goes back up
Please do a series on this! It's been 22 hours, i'm expecting another episode in two hours hahaha.. great game, great showcase, I want to see you do twice as good in the next one, please do a next one! :)
Your war with games having roguelite elements is really amusing. Personally I do not mind them, but I know where you are coming from. Thanks for the consistent, entertaining, high-level content. :)
@@sebasassaf RogueLITE game elements are power upgrades between runs. For example: +10% strength or health, which Retro dislikes. This game doesn't have those. It only unlocks more options, which do not grant additional power (though you could argue that more choices are a kind of "power" themselves).
there is a nice game called potionomics, its basically a deck-builder negotiation potion making game (yes this is a real sentence) I think youll like it
I think the idea of the extra loan is you make more money as days go on, so you might be able to make up the difference with the extra day(s?) you get.
Definitely seems like something you wanna do early. The amount you get (and the amount tacked onto your debt) scales off your current net worth, so if you do it early you'll get a small boost to help you build your snowball *and* you get an extra day to get all the money together for relatively cheap.
I like the shadow build where you fill up on discounted merch and then pump the price. Seems easy enough to get influence to manipulate a price every day. Or maybe a hybrid between worker faction and hero faction to learn a customer's stats and craft the perfect item. I wonder how much influence you can get on a stock market build.
It looks like the price ratchets up each time, so you can't do it very much. Unless there's a weekly cooldown or something, influence inflation would be brutal if you get past the loan and into longer term action.
AAAAAAARGH i hate that you mostly do demos or not released games retro! there was a time when i could watch a vid and get the game asap (this is not really a complaint i still love the channel) i really need this game now though!
This reminds me of Recettear's shop system with less customers. I'll take a look if the price is right on release. The tutorial is done really badly. I see the dev posted. I think it needs a rework, not a re-write though.
I have no idea why someone would put white text on a teal background. Some of us have a hard time reading it and it causes unnecessary eye strain. Dev, if you ever read this, please try black on white, I know it's plain, but sometimes less is more. Otherwise this looks solid.
Ever since Recettear I always hoped to one day find a cool new replacement. There is something special about a cool shop game combined with a good crafting system and dungeon crawl to break up gameplay between managing customers at your store but only if game is done right. This one sadly isn't for me at all, it instantly looks like some crappy browser game and not a real game at all. Sorry but UI seriously puts me off. I just don't have interest in playing a game that reminds me of horrible cell phone and browser games. I do hope for one day a replacement to Recettear, there have been plenty of other games like it since but they always fall really short of providing a good and fun experience.
Thanks again for covering the game! Loved watching the video! Definitly gonna rewrite the tutorial bubbles before release! :)
Great game :)
There are some typos. There will always be typos, so you can never have enough proofreading.
@@Aeroxima If you don't want the tutorial you can just spam-click through it
White text on bright blue background is unreadable to me. Like, not “hard to read”, unreadable.

I would watch a series on this.
i second this
I third! Part of that is how much you seemed to enjoy playing, and I'm genuinely interested to see more of this game
I fourth this, just for the slime races
I fifth, this video was so much fun
Hopefully he’ll make one

Yes, this exactly.
this game definitely seems inspired by "Recettear", may want to check out videos on that too
What a cute looking lil game!! I love these shop manager games

"why was that exciting?!" at the slime races had me giggling
Game looks amazing. It could really use some art direction and maybe a UX designer to reduce clutter. Gameplay looks super fun.
Thanks man! My main focus was on gameplay! I am hoping to keep working on the art and UI after release! :)
@@randexestudios1569 a good focus, if the gameplay is stellar, everything else can be fixed

I recommend Recetear. An item shop tale
This game sure smells like a knock-off of Recettear
Would love a small series of this game I hope to see more and it's made better by just how excited you are playing it
Your excitement for a career in sales is palpable. I approve
I am getting flashbacks to Recettear. Let's see how it goes!
such a shame that there was never another game like Recettear

I know i will be adding a new game to my wishlist, when I see "I LOVE" in your title :D
Oh yeah! If you're into this game, I will definitely watch the series! Love watching you play these silly economic games!
Definitely need a proofreader but otherwise neat!
A series on this would be great
I'm not sure if this is a rougelike that you can get lots of different builds on but this defo needs a series imo!
This is brining back hard core nostalgia from playing flash games in high school!
Nice gameplay Reto! I find it similar with No umbrellas allowed. You can try it, you will not be disappointed.
I would definitely watch this as a series! Want to see how you do now that you have the feel for it
Extremely fun to watch. Hoping for another one please
Love it! Very Potioncraft vibes, but with a bit more depth that really draws me in. Will definitely be picking this up! 😁

If you’re so hooked on it I had a blast watching it so I’d watch a series
would love to see more! great vid man thanks for the amazing content ❤❤
Reminds me a bit of Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale, but I would not mind a spin on that formula. Capitalism ho!
always love games that look at a fantasy world from different angles, in this case a shopkeeper
I was thinking go straight for the helmets as they should be discounted and could grant a greater profit after the 5 days
Oooh and it comes out in a week? Nice. Thanks for showing off the game!
I liked seeing Retro get increasingly concerned by how enthusiastic his customers responded to being offered an item at 140% markup of market price
Very cool watch, I'd be happy to see more
i can't wait for a whole series of this

Totally want to see more runs I think you could really find some fun tricks
This would be a very cool Idea for a series
This seems really neat! I might just have to try it out!
This reminds me of like. Random game sites life sims. But the shop actually makes the gameplay actually compelling
Please make a series of this game!
Yo how much for a spear? I heard they were very cool right now

I'm hooked too, would like to see more of this ♥
I love games like this, please play more
ok love the options and roguelike of the game. this is a lot like recettear: an item shops tale just without the humour and with roguelike elements.
I'd love to see more on this.
I don't know why, but when he said an air infused sock, I pictured a plastic inflatable sock.
Hope we see more of this!

One more week until this game is out in early access and I cannot wait!
Game is a big vibe for sure. I would watch a whole series 👍
i cant wait for this game to be out i want to play it already
Luck be an arms dealer looks like a pretty cool premise.
This game is amazing, a how to on market manipulation in order to make profit. Mwa Chefs Kiss
I would like to purchase at least a mini-series of this, I heard I might otherwise be cringe if I don't.
this calls for a series😁
I am actually first. Its the first time this has happened. I got here first minute
I loved this video, it was so much fun to watch
So the moral of the story: school is useless, when broke, go gambling. Told you, dad
So many of these rogue-like games would be absolutely amazing iOS apps!!
If Wildfrost has to end, please replace it with this
The concept seems strange but it already looks really well done
Plz make a series
Interesting game , hopefully youll do a salty runback lol.
Lets goo one more for sure
