I got my Kicks after considering other cars that came to be overpriced, out of stock, or oddly equipped. Yes, the acceleration on the Kicks is a bit slow. For driving in the city, you won't even notice it. You may notice the slow acceleration when merging onto the highway or when trying to accelerate to overtake and pass/merge on the highway. Me, I've gotten accustomed to the slow acceleration and don't have highway merge or passing issues any more because I've learned the car and when to merge and when/how to pass so I don't have to really accelerate to do it.

We bought the Nissan Kicks brand new in April of 2019, everything you have said is right on, and gas mileage is fantastic, previously owned a Toyota Yaris as the second car, had great gas mileage and reliability, but up to now the Kicks kicks ass over it for space gas mileage and reliability!!!!

I recently bought the electric blue Nissan Kicks 2 months ago. I love it, getting about 28miles/gallon. The technology is awesome!!! Only complaint is the get up & go. I call it my clown car because on the outside it looks small but plenty of room on the inside & being 6ft tall I have plenty of headroom.

Thank you. I don't know about the Toyota but another reason why I call it my clown car was the funny clown like honking noise that came when I accidentally went a little off the lines on the street & my steering wheel started vibrating they didn't tell me about the honking feature when I bought & test drove the car. I couldn't stop laughing 🤣 and said out loud "I love this car". The safety features are wonderful & love the lights on the inside doors that light up knowing you can't pass into the other lane. I feel really safe in it. You also mentioned the Toyota is more quiet, seriously? I think the Kicks is super quiet, especially compared to my last car Subaru Impreza.

Just the regular Kicks, my other car was totalled in a storm & had a short period of time to get a car not mention find the type of car I wanted. My rental was a Rogue & fell in love w/ it but not the price & it was a little too big. I'm so happy I stepped into a Kia seltos & changed my search to Sub Compact SUVs, the Kicks was cheaper & had more technology & better gas mileage, still getting 28miles/gallon 5months later. If I you did heavy Hwy driving I honestly wouldn't suggest this car by I mainly do inner city, because of the lack of get up & go (but bet u will get better mileage). I had a find a car that was cheap enough, narrow enough to fit my 2 car garage (always used to hit spouse's car w/ door) & high enough for my steep driveway. All my friends & spouse say this car is me & it is. I knew it was my car when I saw it, & after test drive w/ how well u can turn car around 360. I've often had 5 people including me in car & people watching laugh, again it's a clown car. It's a lot bigger on inside then it looks outside, w/ the head room it doesn't feel small. We never used to go in my car on dates, & now we always use mine, the fact he likes it too is huge. I hope you find the car that suits you.

I still love my car. TY for asking. Still getting 28.6miles per gallon. I do have 1 suggestion to improve the Kicks though. I'm a passionate gardener & help others and when I put my back seat down to put in a wheel borrow, it wasn't flush like my old Subaru Impreza, but it still fit. If that's my only complaint not bad. I've been seeing more Kicks around now too. It's honestly a great car. I always wanted a Mini Cooper but too low to the ground. This car meets all my looks and practical needs and I found out recently it was considered 1 of the cheapest cars for 2021. Got a brand new car for what most people pay for used. Yest a had someone in my car, she pointed to the yellow light that lit up close to side mirror, "why it is lighting up?" This car lets my know I can't get in other lane now w/o hitting someone. I love this car, every time I leave work & see all the cars, I think mine is the cutest. So totally pleased with my purchase. I hope to have it for many yrs to come.

When I was buying a car last year, the inclusion of a 360 degree camera swayed me to the Nissan Kicks. I was shocked that Toyota’s Bird’s Eye View is only limited to the highest trim of select car and SUV models. Even my sister’s 2020 Lexus SUV doesn’t have it. The greater HP and Torque on the Toyota is better, but then again, it is $4,000 more in the price tag versus the Nissan. I prefer the front of the Nissan and the jury is still out on the rear of the Toyota. Excellent comparison review and reliability is important, not just for hoping to own it 10 yrs, but even when we buy new cars, they still break down (while under warranty) yet it is still an aggravation.
As Chris mentioned, if you can pay $26K, then that opens up other brands and models. He gives stellar advice. If I was in the market for a crossover in this price range $20K to $26k, I'd buy a factory Certified Rav4. Find one with only one owner with the lowest miles.

Ive owned both Toyota and Nissan and no real major issue with either. I owned a Juke before and really enjoyed that vehicle. I went with a C-HR because of the styling, it feels and drives way better than the kicks. The kicks is probably a better option if you have a family, the CHR is a little bit on the cramped side if you’re going to be having more than a couple of people in the vehicle on a continuous basis. Out of both vehicles the CHR is way more exciting to own, the kicks definitely looks less expensive.

We are only able to terminate our lease if it is through a Nissan or Infiniti dealer (they are the same company). So I went to my local Nissan dealer to get an estimate on how much they would take my Infiniti for. They were able to check their system for the payoff balance and I was going to be under. So they offered me a deal in which I can finance a new car. I saw that they had one kicks that I loved and ended up buying and they were able to do an even wash with my Infiniti lease. The kicks is very spacious but the only thing is that its not nearly as fast/powerful as my Infiniti (which I expected). Overall very happy!

The Nissan Kicks wins for me. It is a close race, no doubt. The CHR is priced a quite a bit higher, but has a better reliability track record, mainly because it doesn't have the Jatco CVT. I do like that it has GPS without needing to use a smart phone. That makes a lot less distraction while driving. Having a smartphone on, regardless of the reason is never a good idea if you get pulled over by the police. In the end though, the too tight interior of the CHR would eventually grate on the owner and passengers. I don't know anyone who would want to cuddle in the backseat when seating three across. 😊 Even though the reliability is not as great with the Nissan, proper maintenance would most likely help with its long term reliability.

I think the Nissan kick will be my choice. although, I will like heating and adjustable seats for the front seats. Since I am a resident in the state of Maryland, I will NEED 4 wheel drive due to weather climate, turbo something, and definitely a better armrest for front and back. Sunroof will be nice to have when the weather change to warm days.

Please don't ask me but I ended up buying 2021 Hyundai Sonata SEL because of the deal I couldn't refuse. I've always been a Nissan driver, but the dealership in my hometown is hard to deal with (sales wise.) I'm looking at Toyota, but I will miss my Nissan Service men (who are great). Sigh..
