In my opinion, this is how the Buu saga should've actually ended. Buu should've been eradicated entirely by that explosion! Vegeta's sacrifice would've been more meaningful.
Ah yes so completely skip out on ssj 3, goten and trunks, buus final form, literally everything else, I think this sacrifice could've worked if it was later on, but It was too early
@@Ejaz100 ssj 3 is trash, Goten and Trunks literally do nothing, and there was no point to Buus final form, him coming back as Uub has done nothing for the series until years later in the manga, and even then he goes back to being useless.
Never actually notice the slight flinch in Vegeta's eyes in this scene before. Like, he knows the answer is that he's going to hell. But he still had that tiny, miniscule amount of Hope he'd actually see Goku on the other side. And it just stings that he was right.
Beautifully described.. What's even more sad he knew anyway.. but still that little flicker of hope.. and the one thing he wanted to do before he died is to go all out in a bang.. one last time and damn he did it well. If this was the last time we saw vegeta this would've been easily top sacrifices in all anime creation.
very touching. this makes me wonder what it would actually be like had we never seen vegeta alive after this again. of course they can never stick to their guns.
This is why any good story has a beginning, Middle, and an end. At this point they're dragging a dead horse. And just doing some color swap with Goku's hair and calling a new transformation. DBZ should've ended on a high note decades ago.
@@romusa10 Piccolo just got done telling Vegeta he would not be revived. Would have been super cool, but instead what we got is standard, yes. Dragon Ball had a chance to subvert its audience and really keep us on our toes and excited.

I know I’m not the only one here who thinks this is how Buu saga should’ve ended. Vegeta sacrificing himself, Goku’s last quest is to gather the dragon balls to bring back the people Buu killed, and Gohan (having the most potential out of all) will continue training and become the strongest and new savior of Earth.
That would actually be a pretty cruel end for vegeta, being turned from one of the greatest warriors in the universe and instead of just going to hell, actually being erases from existence, much like death irl( not to make anyone overthink death because it sucks ik)
-"just tell me one thing before you go... this other world or what ever it's called...Will i see Kakarot?" idk...maybe while he is drowning you will be seen in a hallucinogenic dream where you are naked.
Moments like this make me wish death actually stuck in Dragon ball. Or let the dragonballs whichever planet they're be one use only when it comes to resurrections
The concept of death on dragon ball basically has no meaning. No matter how sad you try to make it seem. Deep down we all know that they’ll just get revive.
