He's one of the most attractive and charming actors I've ever seen !!!
This is now my most favorite KDrama. You will feel the emotions of the unspoken words. Great cast. Such a superbly written story. enjoyed it immensely. How am i going to ge a dose of Mr Gu now? He looked so handsome and incredibly charming even when he was drinking, sweaty and dressed poorly. Geez.
Watch Be Melodrmatic if you haven't. Though he has a small role he steals every scene.

He is introduced as a potential love interest in Jeon Yeo-been's character's story. Though a small role, their chemistry is impressive and hilarious. Do watch it for the other characters and story too, you will love all their stories.

Right..I can't get enough of Mr gu
This drama took really huge place in my heart, that lonely feeling, being depressed but must keep going, hoping to finde our happy other half and try not to lose ourselves on the way. It was so real as if they are living with us, Script, acting, cast and everything is just perfect
I think if you pay attention to all the little hints and clues, this is obviously a happy ending. Gu keeps trying to put an expiration date on their relationship with the ten therapy sessions analogy, but as Mijung said earlier "We don't eat the ones we name." Mijung now knows Jagyung's name, and he calls hers as a touchstone he can come home to. The last scene with the 500 won coin was his turning point, and things will get better (not all at once, but one step at a time) from there.
What a beautiful drama that gives you so much to think about. I can't wait to rewatch and see even more details about the simultaneous beauty and mundanity of these three siblings' and Gu's lives.
Oh interesting thought into the coin. I just hope Mr. Gu can leave that life. For me as well it appeared clear on their feelings 🥰. I hope the older sister works out with that guy. It’s kinda hard to read him. It’s deserving of a season 2 🙆🏻♀️ and take us further into their lives 😀
No season 2 . Let’s just imagine 5 minutes of happiness a day turns into hours and lots of worshiping.
His new nickname is 12x times. Thats how many times he changed his mind. So even with the expiry date, Mi Jeong knows he will change his mind again and she just played along 🙂

The expressive power of the Korean lines in this drama was expressed in a deeper and more profound philosophical meaning, but it is regrettable that it was not conveyed in its original meaning as it was translated into English.
You made me want to learn Korean just to rewatch this MASTERPIECE again!!
This drama is heavy on symbolism which unfortunately I am really bad at. It’s a work of art. It leaves a lot to interpretation.
I would say that that dream scene with them running at dawn or sunset with the birds itself symbolized their ending and fate in a way entwined, for the better. I interpret the coin on the bird as the same bird in that scene, so it adds more meaning to that scene as a foreshadowing of their happy ending. Also, I read in some comments that in Korea that bird has a certain meaning, connoting love, luck, and longevity. By not giving a fixed ending in a way the writer also asks the viewer to interpret what liberation means for them, like all the characters in the drama, and that liberation and growth and living is not a straight trajectory but a process of trials and errors, and the ending hints that their story will go on, they will continue to find their liberation, and so must we.

The slow-burn romance from these two made me appreciate every detail so much. No lots of skin ship but their eyes and words give me so many emotions.

I always fall in love with couples in non-romance (or rather romance is not the main genre) kind of dramas and then I suffer because I want MORE of them. More scenes, more intimate scenes, more skinship, more story, more development, more more more 😍 But I know that I can't expect anything in a not romance based drama... Ah... suffering 😥

@@tnlglsn9981 Ja, ging mir genauso mit der Kussszene 😅... Hatte die ganze Zeit auf wenigstens einen Kuss gewartet und dann zoomen die da raus wie bei Disney oder so... Aber die beiden haben wohl auch ohne intime Szenen mehr Chemistry als Pärchen, die extreme Knutschszenen haben 😂
Hab's auch noch nicht geschafft mich anderen Serien zu widmen und mir heute wieder meine Lieblingsszenen angeschaut... aber im Moment läuft ja auch keine gute Serie 😥

Gu and Mijeong are soul mates. When they are apart, they are depressed. When they are together, they are so happy. Mijeong accepted Gu's return with much joy. Gu knows Mijeong vulnerability when he left her previously. I thk he would rather die than abandoned her again. He knows Mijeong would not leave him no matter what. To me, there is no logic to think that Gu would leave Mijeong a second time. He would always be drawn back to her. Theirs are more than love.
yes...just like mijeong he doesn't want to lose her again. he already realized that the first time he had to leave. in the lonely world where nobody really understands either of them, they find the missing half's they were looking for in one other to complete themselves as a whole. till now I can't even explain it why I'm so glad that their reunion EPS didn't have any kissing scenes... it would've been just totally unnecessary. Everything abt this kdrama is perfect and untouchable

Well, I love this drama. I´ve loved how they support each other, and how they are learning together. I want to believe they end up together, because when he saw the coin he saw himself, other chance to start again with her. He liberates from his alcohol problem and she feels free, no hate in her heart. Both are healing and known that going to walk step by step but together. When they are together are really happy. They left behind all the trauma form their past, and bad experiences and looking for something good. This drama for some people can seem slow, but the meaning of all is appreciate every moment cause all we know is that something can happen in seven minutes and brings us happinnes.

I love how this drama flowed. I got bored at first few episodes but AS I continued watching, I appreciated its deep, philosophical meaning in real life... It involves critical thinking to understand the whole picture and it hurts to process as only few people get it.. I am hoping for the season 2 with both of them living their new selves from the learnings of their old selves... The siblings/family brickery mirror the real society.. Kudos to all staff and casts.. I love this kind of drama... Hooray to the introverts out there... God bless us all..

I hung in there feeling something exciting would happen. The final two episodes left me hanging no clear ending for any of the 3 siblings. I was hoping for a better story ending, but I loved all the cast members ❤️
I found it helpful to rewatch the last episode. Maybe watch some explanations of the symbolism in various fan videos. I think you will find that it becomes more satisfying and optimistic when you catch all the symbolism.
I got so many friends but sometimes loneliness hit me hard to the point that i got sick,how i wish i have mr gu in my life😀

I love it I don't know why but it seem like I have watched my character in it somehow the unspoken words have also alot things to say know when I think about it I think I also want to liberate myself from alot of things.
I was so anxious while watching the whole ep16… I was so invested in the both of them to stay together regardless of the outcome… I got so tensed up during his fighting scene with the gangsters praying he made it out alive… as well as his many-names-assistant ❤️… Bittersweet ending for me… but understandably ✌🏻

I learnt my lesson. Normal drama i will wait till all the episodes out but when it comes to Kim Ji Won i couldnt help it to watch the ongoing episodes. It was miserable waiting for the new eps to come out, plus the preview really not helping us viewers 😅

Wishing for a season 2! 🙏 Jiwon and Sukku's chemistry is undeniably too much and overwhelming. To think that they don't have that much skinship! What more if they have, right? Plus Sukku's character is very realistic. He brilliantly acted just enough for the character of Mr. Gu. I'm even more impressed that he got this much of attention even though Mr. Gu's character rarely talks, always sweaty, wearing simple almost homeless clothes and have a rugged attitude. Very far from the usual main lead role. Yet, viewers fell in love with him! Amazing right? I've first watched him in Designated Survivor 60 days. Now I'm gonna watch more of his projects. I'm doomed!

Sweet potato oven. That was the opportunity Changhee could be almost there to be successful(rich) by selling that machine to the CVS chain nationwide but he had to let the chance (the test , presentation meeting with HQ people) go because he felt he need to be there for someone who is on deathbed.
Funeral director- When Changhee wanted to study about Seoul’ natural heritage (mountains) , mistakenly entered to the other class that is for License of funeral director- as soon as he knew he is in the wrong class he tried to leave there but he somehow felt that occupation is maybe what he is really made for - he let a few people with really peaceful moments in his life already. i think he has a good soul..
Gu ‘s last scene is just open ending . Many people however thinks he is bringing that money to President Shin.( as there was shortage from one of branch due to the head’ gambling - so Gu just covers , to be accountable) and then get out of that business for good.
With the failed sweet potato oven thing, what I interpreted is that if he was there at the store with his friend that day he would be leading a good life, but the death of Ji Hyun-ah's former boyfriend prevented him from going there. He does not tell anyone about that because he feels all will blame Hyun-ah or her former lover for his business loss. But it was his decision to go there no one told him to go to the hospital. It also entwines with his ability as he states that fate already takes him where he needs to be like that day when his grandmother died, then his mother, and lastly Hyun-ah's former lover. He sometimes feels like an insignificant coin that makes up a mountain, and sometimes he feels he himself is the mountain. And that mountain in the end leads him again towards his true calling in a way, to help the ones close to death, like the ones that died or even his father after his mother's death. He goes there for the mountain, to figure out if he is a coin or a mountain, but finds the funeral director thing more suiting with his beliefs, as he listens to the instructor, and recalls his own belief that without realizing he always ends up in places that need him, and feels that it might be his true calling.
I think with the sister thing, Tae hoon, the boyfriend is a bit anxious about it because of his failed marriage and being a single father, and does not want to make his daughter feel abandoned again, as she is still a teenager and the relationship between her and the sister was definitely not a good one, though now she is not against it, he wants her to become an adult and give maybe a proper blessing to their relationship.
Mr. Gu with the money, according to me goes to the chairman and the debt collectors, to pay off his friend's debt, as I think he feels responsible for him and in a way enabled him by not stopping him even after knowing. The voice message that he leaves him, wishing to see him alive is in a way indication, that he does not want to curse anymore and he does not want him to become another name on the list that he hates and haunts him. As Mi Jeong suggests that he should welcome them with a smile, his demons, and confront them, their ill-fated decisions are theirs not his to carry around, just like Mi Jeong's ex-lover running away with her money and her former boss and colleague, blaming her for their misdeeds. Mi Jeong feels content in herself and has self-confidence that she lacked in the beginning of the series, and Mr. Gu provided a safe space for her to be free, and towards the end after their reunion, Mi Jeong becomes that safe space for Mr. Gu to be free and be himself, enabling him to see his own shortcomings and work on them. She, in the beginning, thought something was wrong with her that's why bad things happen to her, boyfriends run away, and being also introverted she felt she was broken and not loveable, but Mr. Gu gave her that comfort and confidence and made her feel loveable, just by being there even though the duration was short, they were honest and direct, which was a welcoming comfort for her.
The crane on the coin, also calls back to the dream scene of Mi Joeng and Mr. Gu running at dawn or sunset, at their intertwined fate towards liberation and happiness. The cranes symbolize love and longevity, and the editing in a way indicates he is walking toward her, his goal towards liberation, it will be long one tiny step at a time just like Mi Jeong.
And what I interpret with Mi Jeong's ending line that "all she feels is love in her heart" is contentment with herself and she no longer feels burdened by what others think of her, and maybe the line even is from the future where she is truly liberated from all her troubles and self-doubt, and maybe even saying those lines to Mr. Gu.

I believed he was coming to pay the debit of his friend. I don't know if they killed those people, I believed not. And after it he would change the way that he looks for some people or circumstances. Because he said to his friend that, although everything, he needs to still alive and good and that he can come back. I think he chose pardon him instead of do like he was usually to do with the people in the past. Now, he won't be one more ghost
