    Your plastic cover on the outlet is not right one for that.

    Should have ran pvc down the for your ground wire. Easy to fix that though just add it.

    I put a 240V outlet in my garage. I was going to wire it with 10-3 copper. $75 for 50 feet. Then I thought about for a minute and decided I might want a subpanel in there so I returned the copper wire to Home Depot, and went to a real electrical supply to get 50 feet of 6-3 aluminum for $42. 10-3 copper is only good for 30 amps. 6-3 aluminum is good for 50 amps. The cost savings was more than enough to pay for an 8-space subpanel.
