I totally agree with you! I left the AMC, completely frustrated it's like cinema has forgotten that women find masculine men attractive, we don't need everything to be about hatred towards men in cinema. Even ending with a tree going out of his crotch, was just bizarre. We should be celebrating femininity and masculinity in cinema! I'm just tired of western propaganda subverting everything for shock value rather than creativity. Thank you for your review Happy to see you still making videos :-)
The lack of legitimate criticism for this film is baffling. On RUclips at least the overwhelming majority is positive and the small amount who are "criticizing" it are basically saying "girl bad I want Max back".
Why is absolutely nobody talking about the bad action? The wasted side villains? Furiosa ripping her arm off while being incircled and stealing a bike and nobody noticed? Drives up a mountain with 1 arm then all the 2 armed people just give up on the mountain chase lol.
Thank you for bringing up Imortan Joe because I thought that too. The Remember me line makes 0 sense in the first movie now like what did he do to her? rEmeMbEr mE? He's probably thinking "YES I REMEMBER YOU, YOU HELPED ME. I SAVED YOU. I MADE YOU MY FIRST IN COMMA-" *YANKED UNDER TRUCK*
If she hates him because he takes on multiple wives fair enough but it's never explored at all in this and Imortan just doesn't feel like a bad guy like you said.
I also find it funny everyone is complaining about how it's a girl boss movie or whatever but I feel the opposite. They stripped her of how badass she was cuz she learns everything from some dude she fell in love with. Weak as hell. Movie was way too long.(Like my comment) The soundtrack was made by someone who just found out the inception horn. The only good track is the motif from the first movie. Everyone is praising Hemsworth and for what it's worth I like the performance but i just dont believe this goofball would command the respect of apocalypse bikers.
That stupid speech about war that thought it was way more clever than it was. Literally did the climax of the movie in a montage like wtf was that. Narrator be like that was a crazy war, you shoulda seen it. I know we were building it up for 2 hours but just trust me bro it was crazy. Even her cutting her hair feels completely forced and like they did it just because that's what she looked like in fury road. The fifth rider of the apocalypse...........BWAAAAAAAA. the horns are beyond obnoxious in this film. Drop a couple balls on chains off the back of your truck? BWAAAAAAAA. The secondary villain lady that dementus recruited was completely wasted. Just falls in the sand like imma make my way out now.
They tried to give Furiosa the slowly follow the villain like they're the prey now but it just didn't work and felt stupid, like girl just kill the dude. Treepenis.
By far the biggest problem though is easily Imprtan Joe. Sheesh. Well anyway that's why I thought it was bad.
I was on the verge of taking a nap. But I was afraid that I might miss something mind-blowing. So I forced myself to stay awake. In retrospect, taking a nap would have been okay.
It just seems like who ever wrote this movie doesn't really care about Mad Max. They just want to be able to pitch an "exciting" plot to other executives who don't really care about Mad Max either.
Honestly, I think my favorite character was Furiosa's mom. Only believable character in the whole dumb movie lol. And she was gone in 15 minutes.
I went with low expectations. Still a bit disappointed, butnjust likemto revisit the world. I agree with all your points. There was maybe one hour of the film total that was engaging. I tuink only an old man Mel Gibson Max could save the franchise.
I was bored for the first half. I felt it dragged on way too long, the fight scenes were too long with not much actually happening.

I was initially excited about the prospects of this film because I think the two principles are great, but decided to wait until the first reviews came out. I am glad I waited. This will be a pass for me and if it ever gets in the bargain bin of VuDu, maybe I'll give it a look. So disappointing.

its not boring for me althought it's way too long. Furiosa is a forgettable character in her own movie lol. Chris hemsworth character is way more awesome lol.
I loved it. I was 10 when I saw Road Warrior and Furiosa lives up to Millers standards. The worst remains Thunderdome. Hemsworth does a heck of a job and is a much better villain than Immortan. Great film.
Just saw the movie today,I thought it was meh,it didnt pack that knock out punch like fury road.And too slow off a build up and it could have easily been 30 min shorter.
I loved Furiosa. Definitely a great follow up/ prequel to Fury Road. In many ways its better than Fury Road. But I would put the two movies on a par, and they are the 2 best films in the series in my opinion. Sorry you werent feeling it.

It's funny you say this about Furiosa because when I saw Fury Road back when it came out, I didn't get it. Everyone loved the movie & praised it as a masterpiece & I just didn't get the hype. Fast forward to this year, I gave it a rewatch but in Black & White & it blew my mind!! I'm really excited to see Furiosa but as always I love your honesty Lucy😎

I personally thought it was great. Loved it just about as much as Fury Road (which I don't think is a masterpiece btw).
I hate Fury Road so I have zero interest in watching this movie. The original 3 films are some of my favorites.

I agree with you. The movie was kind of boring.
I was nervous to go see Furiosa for this reason I thought I was gonna be bored during this movie but surprisingly I was locked in from beginning to end I loved this movie and crazy thought went through my head: do I love this more than Fury Road ? , nah I gotta rewatch Fury Road to be sure on this bold statement 😂😂

i watched it and im ngl it was very very boring
the dialouge made no sense and the plot story was trash and the whole scriot is just boring
there's so much action going on that it just bores you like you kinda know whats going to happen

and this movie feels pg 13 it has no cussing or nothing just killing and most scenes felt very pg 13

Jesus this movie flew over this reviewers head. She missed multiple points in the movie explaining everything she didn't understand. She literally gets everything wrong. I doubt she paid attention to the movie. They explain why Dementus kept young Furiosa around, they also explain that she was a child bride but not for Immortan. Awful, Awful reviewer. She's so bad she makes me want to start my own RUclips channel.
