New sub! Long time Tears for Fears fan. Definitely check out their 80s hits: Shout (you've probably heard that one), Sowing The Seeds of Love, Woman in Chains, Mad World. But these guys reconnected after a long time apart, and put out a new album of all new music - The Tipping Point. And it's as good, or better, than their early stuff. Worth listening to Rivers of Mercy for a good cry, and find a live US tour date from 2022 of My Demons. The lighting was outstanding during their tour.
'80s pop makes me happy like no other kind of music, which is weird considering I'm a big metal head and have been since I was little. Gotten a lot more into hip hop recently as well, which begs the question; What the hell about this music grabs my very being so much? Guess I'll never have an answer to that question. Even though the '80s have apparently aged terribly according to everyone else, my aunt and uncle did always say I was an "old soul". Funny how shit like that happens, huh? God bless.
TFF is quite timeless. I realized recently, while listening to the compilation of 80s' hits, how different their sound was. They were never completely drowned with the 80s effects, rather using it deliberately and balancing it with different influences. No matter if you're a metal fan, jazz fan, prog fan... People seem to love this band even if they normally shit on the 80s' music. 😂
My Fav Band at 66 is still “Tears For Fears” and song SHOUT❗️ ❤ My Go To❤❗️ Not sure if you know of Robin Trower ❤ “Bridge Of Sighs” 😎 with titled music, of same name?. You will not regret ❤
