I work with computers all day and started dreaming of flamenco hand movements-- ten minutes of this just feels good to me. (I minored in dance.) I think my body was telling me what it needed. It is not hard to work this into my work day several times a day. I am off to watch your other videos. The rest of me can probably also use this. Thank you!
So glad you find it useful. Absolutely, even 10 minutes a day make such a big difference!!
Maria, I absolutely adore your videos! I would really enjoy a video explaining basic flamenco terminology like remate, arranque, escobilla, estribillo, falsetas, llamada etc. Looking forward to your new videos!! Thank you for your valuable insight!!
Thank you for your kind comment. Yes that's is in my mind as future content.!! Many thanks for watching!!

Very well explained! Thank you 😊
Many thanks for watching Diana!
Hi! In what type of flamenco dance there are more "floreo" technic? I love the hands movements in flamenco. ( Sorry for my english, im spanish)
Maria this is such a helpful video! The tips are awesome: middle finger leading the way and stirring the soup🌝 my teacher insists on the last (smallest) finger being straight without bending at all, that’s something I find exceptionally challenging. If my small finger doesnt move then I cant do separate movements for the middle and ring finger! But as you said if the muscles in the hands above the palms get tired its a good sign!!😊👍🏼
Hi Antonia, my advice is not meant to replace your regular teacher at all however, I found that definitely, this little trick helps my students a lot to achieve a beautiful hand movement,. You shouldn't feel any stiffness in your fingers when moving your hands. The movement needs to be enjoyable and the hands flexible and supple. Muscle tiredness is definitely a good sign but only if it's because of a lot of practice, never from any movement that is rigid or painful. This is my humble advice. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you 🙏🏽 this was very helpful ❤️🙏🏽
So glad! Many thanks for watching

Wonderful. thank you!!
Many thanks for watching!
I love it! Very useful.. I am working on Flamenco dance.. :)
Many thanks for watching!
Thanks Maria. I like the movements but do you have (or could you do in future) any movement exercises that incorporate the upper arm or humerus section. I notice the movement you do just incorporates the forearm only but, it would be interesting to see if you have exercises that incorporate the upper arm/humerus with the feet and torso for a whole-body exercises; do you have any such practices like this?
Of course! This video is solely about hand movement but will be uploading many more movements and routines with the whole arms and upper body in general! Thanks for watching!!
I like the fans in the background
Thank you!! I love fans, a bit of a collector myself :-)
Muy informativo, very useful and easy to remember always stir the soup 💭

But.
Why do we have to listen to the wailing voices.
I know that
Am G F and E
Are the Andalusian Cadences.
But why do we have to listen to the wailing?
Background music ?

Je me suis desabonnée à cause de la traduction qui cache en partie les mouvements
Sorry to hear that, hope my videos are still useful somehow! Happy learning 😀
Marie France, il te suffit de désactiver la traduction, sur la touche CC en haut à droite, et on voit tout super bien.
