The only way to have success using any match is to change up the shading, throw in some normal zones and change the user area along with mixing in some pressure. Also being good at switch stick.
Decide what kind of defensive player you want to be, if you’re aggressive mix in some blitzes, if not figure out how zones and match play. Try to match personnel and try cover 2 invert shaded down and playing the sticks
Look up what NFL teams do in the red zone as well, the more you know about actual football schemes and techniques the better you will be on Madden. Ultimately learn the difference between cloud, buzz, and sky coverages (not just cover 3)
no other way to get better other than labbing up RedZone defense in practice mode. I'm top 100 and I know every single defense audible by heart. .and I study Nick saben and Vic Fangio defense.
to put it in simplest terms cover 3 match plays like a cover 1 hole but more advanced
