This sense of joy and giddiness to add to the collection is such a personal and intimate feeling that I absolutely adore being able to connect with. I watch so many videos of collectors going through black friday hauls, or videos going to dollar general and finding gems, or going to the $5 bin at local walmarts. It's such a relatable joy that I understand so profoundly that I can't help to just smile and think "Damn, good for you." when I watch them. No matter the movie, or my opinion on them, if someone's excited to find a title and be able to own it. Makes me happy.
God Only Knows how many video stores are left but this one gave off Good Vibrations and made me Smile and want to hop into my Little Deuce Coupe and drive down there rather than sitting In My Room listening to the Pet Sounds my dog makes.
Gummo is interesting. Last time I watched it was on laserdisc. I remember an old interview with Marylin Manson saying that Gummo was a favorite movie of his.😂
Several years ago I saw The Third Man (one of my 10 favorite films) on the big screen at an arthouse cinema in Fort Wayne. Fortunately, after the final screening a few days later, they sold me their display poster for $10. I also have their display poster for the Hitchcock/Truffaut documentary. Final thought: Topper Returns is actually a pretty good film.
Out of everything I picked up there, my most exciting find was that poster for "Le Samouraï". Although finally finding a copy of "Sorcerer" (1977) made me very happy.
@FilmsByColor it was shown, but definitely could have been talked about more at the end. The poster however was somewhat large with the casing, I wasn't sure how well it'd fit in your car partly, to be fair.
Sorcerer is excellent, but never in a million years better than The Wages of Fear. The first remake ‘Violent Road’ is worth a look as well (but no masterpiece).
Maybe whe should demonstratie all together to stop them from closing movie stores. It,s sad. Where can i buy movies except online. 👎. Lets demonstrat😂😂

@ethanedwards7557 It's true Videodrome is at the corner of 5th & Kokomo.
Atlanta always reminds me of Scarlett O'Hara when her mother tells her to go to Atlanta. Her eyes shine and she exclaims: "Atlanta"!!😅😅
Was a blast to go to the Plaza Theatre & Videodrome in Atlanta with you & John!
Great store. Been there many times.

Sounds about right.
French Dispatch is wonderful. I have it.
My eye went straight to The Legend of Billie Jean.
Third Man at The Plaza is a restored 4k DLP for theatre projection.
TOPPER was also a TV show

@kevinhouse4376 fair enough on "Topper Returns". Have you also seen "Topper Takes A Trip"?
There’s a new Godzilla movie coming out in the Criterion Collection in March and I’m so excited I’m gonna buy it!!!!!

@@JefferyEPetrone Yeah I can’t believe we forgot to mention the poster!

The Buffalo 66 15th Anniversary DVD was beautiful, Sorcerer is the best movie of 1977.
Annie Hall
@ethanedwards7557 I wasn't a big fan when I first watched, but I might enjoy it more now. Watched Manhatten today and thought it was great.
@@ethanedwards7557Diane Keaton was incredible that year.
A double bill documentary recommendation: The Parking Lot Movie and Unknown White Male
French Dispatch is awesome, Topper always hits right and Gummo is Gummo lol. I don’t dislike Gummo, but I don’t think I necessarily like watching it 😂
